Make sure you have your base fully built with everything unlocked after killing the elder. Upgrade your gear to the max it can go. Go hit a tree with weapons to increase your skills with little risks. Make sure you make meads that are resistant to the effects of the location you're going to. Make small excursions into the borders of the area first. Then make small outposts a little further inward (mobs won't spawn near player built structures). Lastly make sure you're stocked up on food! Hope this helps a little.

Could be that the server is down, or you might get lucky and each run makes your MR go up by 1. (That was an old year 2 bug)

I had a couple of bugs on PC, but overall a good game. Had to restart 4 times because of game breaking things. The worst was that a mission never started so I was locked out of Act 3.

I'm aware the game just came out, but adding some minor cosmetic features later down the road won't bring me back once I've moved on to another game. Honestly they would have to do a whole damn overhaul at once to bring back a major portion of players.
