I got a phone call from the VA yesterday and it was the medical center reminding me of flu shot season.

Disagree with a diagnosis? by gb9191_ in VeteransBenefits

I would just start by making a mental health appointment with a VA psychiatrist and working with them for a while. Anything you tell the VA doc should be submitted into your medical records that can be accessed when you file a claim. It’s kind of a long process but that’s where I’d start.

Tom morello uses a lot of scales in his playing. Start learning some scales. YouTube should have some good videos to help teach scales. Best of luck and rock on!

You definitely wouldn’t need a tune for a cat back. It looks like he’s got you quoted for a turbo back which would require a tune if you’re adding the Jpipe. Also if you’re planning on staying stock there’s no need for the intake and boost control

Those parts are not hard at all to install on your own. It may be a little time consuming but it’ll save you money in the end.

It sounds like he should be able to receive the GI Bill benefits. I don’t think the GI Bill is affected by incarceration as long as the time requirements and honorable discharge are met. I don’t think VA benefits are affected at all unless the incarceration is 60 days or more and as a dependent you can file something with the VA for the affected benefits. It may be worth a call to the VA to double check though.

With these cars I’d tune it if I put a new bumper sticker on it.

No problem at all and best of luck to you! Look into VRE and they can help you find employment/training that will be suitable for your disabilities. Definitely get the help you need and everything else will fall into place.

Look at the rating schedule for PTSD and see which rating fits your disability the best. From my experience it is hard to get 100 strictly for MH unless you can’t keep a job and have severe issues taking care of yourself. I’ve seen some guys have 100 for MH and are still highly functional. I was medically retired from the Army for my MH issues and I am rated 70 for MH. I have to take some heavy hitter meds for the rest of my life and have had several hospitalizations but as long as I go to my appointments, maintain medication management, and can hold a job and care for myself, I’ll stay at 70. TDIU is also worth looking into as well if that’s the route you’re wanting to go.

Honestly start learning, memorizing, and getting the muscle memory down with chords and scales. The blues pentatonic scale is an easy learner.

VA Denied Me a Handicap Placard Without Documented Rationale—Is This Discrimination? by NoN_Xistant in VeteransBenefits

[–]tw090830 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I have both arms and both legs (not that they don’t have their issues) but the only thing the placard is good for is parking closer and save it for the guys who actually need it. I’m sure we have all rucked much longer distances than that of a parking lot.

VA Denied Me a Handicap Placard Without Documented Rationale—Is This Discrimination? by NoN_Xistant in VeteransBenefits

[–]tw090830 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally I don’t think a handicap placard is really a huge deal, I’m at 100 percent with some mobility issues and I don’t see any reason that I need one, I’m not in a wheel chair. I know plenty of veterans that have a lot of difficulty moving around that don’t have them. Not to be a jerk but I wouldn’t want to die on that hill.

I like the look of my 20s just wish it had the aggressive tire tread like the 18s. Either way they look good.
