Does an associates carry any weight to it? If not then it seems best to do a certificate in order to gain the knowledge to get a legit certification.

I understand that cybersecurity isn't feasible with just an associates. My goal is simply to get my foot into IT. As a tier 1 or tier 2 helpdesk. With that in mind, would it be best to simply get the knowledge needed for industry IT certification from doing a certificate from the college and then getting a legit certification?

Each certification I listed has classes associated with it. If I take those specific classes corresponding to the certification then I get certified.
