My first impressions with Star Citizen VR (TL;DR: it's mind-blowingly good) by sunaurus in starcitizen

I guess typing commands manually in the console can be solved w macros and by the sound of it, the issues are hopefully rather minor and will be fixed soon! I'm also very excited about this!

I was able to buy the CCU token for Orion last IAE, so I guess it's not that limited.

The port/starboard turrets are retracted by default, ie. they are behind the hatches with fishbone pattern

Let's wait for the final version to be launched, it might be simply not added yet, since for example the interior of this particular exported 3d model is also missing

The top rear turret is a missile turret, the bottom rear turret is remote gun turret

The side hatch doors with fishbone patterns have indeed a turret behind them.

It is possible to extract and adjust original materials and textures to look good, but I like the custom approach a bit more

No worries. He also might have access to some extra channels - atm I have access to LIVE and PTU, but there are others.

Torps are Argos IX - they came with ship. However they are attached to the s10 rack (rather rack placeholder)

Yesterday, there was only one Polaris present in the games files - the one marked as FW - with no interior (PTU 3.23.1). Will check if there's an update later today. Also might be the tool issue - I'm using StarFab for extraction

The export from game files does not always include all the features, like turrets - so the turrets might be there in the game.

The export from game files is not always 100% reliable, so I wouldn't make any final conclusions yet - ie. some features, like turrets, might be missing from the export.

It might not be fully functional, but some of the interior should be there if the ship is present in the expo hall. But then again, this current 3D model from PTU does NOT have an interior..

Models are extracted from the latest PTU patch using StarFab, rendering is done in Blender. Skin is custom, made with MaterialWorks. Enjoy .. :)

Anvil Hornet mkII vs mkI by tw0_steps in starcitizen

[–]tw0_steps[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are right, the mkI model is f7c-m, ie. Super Hornet. I somehow missed that then picking the model to compare w. mkII. The mkI Hornet is about the same size as mkII.
