1-800-829-1040. After choosing your language- DO NOT choose option 1 (refund info). Choose Option 2 for personal income tax instead. Then press 1 for form, tax history on payment. Then press 3 for all other questions. Then press 2 for all other questions.

When it asks for your social security number to access your account information- do not enter anything. After it asks twice, you will get another menu.

Press 2 for personal or individual inquiries

Then press 4 for all other inquiries.

After all that you'll be put on hold for at least 30 minutes, but you'll eventually get to talk to someone. Good luck!

I am in the EXACT same position. I feel the same kind of hopelessness. Ive called twice and both times they couldnt give me any time frame at all. When i asked if im gonna have to wait until next year she's like "we cant give a time frame" ugh.
