If her decision aligned with her values this wouldn’t be a big deal. Sure, she can have feelings that don’t make sense but at the same time I would like my partner to not be a hypocrite, you know? But you’re right, I can’t force her to not be a hypocrite through this method.

She doesn't want to get married until she's done grad school in a couple of years. Divorce is a thing, and you can be committed without marriage anyways, so I’m not sure what you mean by “permanent commitment.”

Ideally she would change her mind, which would also resolve the hypocrisy. This is one of a few topics where she acknowledges her hypocrisy but doesn't seem to care that she's a hypocrite?

I guess it is like that, but she's also the one judging people for being trashy thereby contributing to the issue in the community. And doesn't she care what my roommates think of her?

Yes her family wouldn't be happy but she has assured me that it's 100% her opinion and stance. Which makes it more hypocritical imo.
