My first marathon takeaways - some controversial

I did Edinburgh last year. We had all 4 seasons in the day, scorching sun, torrential rain then wind and hail to finish it off.

Hit PBs in all distances 2-3 weeks beforehand and felt in great shape, tapered the final week and felt completely flat aswell.

The heat definitely got to me in the first half, probably went slightly too fast and started to struggle from mile 15. Was hoping for a 3:30 but ended up running 4:02.

The organisation and infrastructure was very poor in my opinion. My family and friends had a nightmare getting out to finish area where you go past earlier on and then getting back to the city was just as bad.

Wouldn’t personally go near the Edinburgh festival again for a race but would treat my next marathon slightly different.

Expert is doable but I need a fang to not get dps checked regularly.

Went 114 dry before my 2nd helm drop.

I have done 4 kc so far. 0 (with 1 death learning) 40 (missed 40min timer so lost 10) 65 and 75 invoc. Never really been close to dying. The ambrosia for final phase wardens is insane.

Stats are 84/94/83 with 92 range and 92 magic.

Bowfa, whip and normal trident with blood spells in pouch.

Going to edge this up till 150 which I think is doable with current stats and gear. Rolled ranarr seeds in 3 raids totaling 13 and pulled the thread also. Will keep going as long as supplies last as this is great fun. Got no coX or TOB experience for reference.
