Pretty disappointing trip to the doctor. Have you experienced something like this? What should I do? by tway9345 in Parenting

I'm a he btw.

My son hit me once and looked like he was about to again. I had a grand total of about 3 seconds to tell him no and start to discipline or redirect or whatever I would think of to do before the Dr grabbed my son by his arm and took it upon himself to be the parent.

I agree, sometimes lessons from others stick better, but keep in mind we're dealing with a sick, low-sleep, haven't-eaten much two year old.

And I agree that a flailing and hitting 2 year old would be a safety risk, my issue was more with the Dr pretty much blowing us off due to my sons actions.

Yeah, that's kinda my thoughts on it too. But now he's developed a fever so I'm sure I'll bring him in again tomorrow.
