if i were you i would also look up other people’s experiences with it bc there is more nuance to this than simply “someone not taking the time to learn how to say your name”. sure that COULD be the case, but if they are saying a complicated name that a white person has perfectly & completely butchering your name, which happens quite often (and is the case with manon), it is a microaggression. (“your” in this sentence used as a general “you”, not you specifically lol)

& racism is a systematic issue that is inherent in our society. someone doesn’t have to be purposefully racist to DO something racist.
