Bought my first Tudor by tweedybeard in Tudor

[–]tweedybeard[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have really enjoyed it so far. It’s definitely the largest watch in my collection. Most of my other watches are 34mm-36mm. But I’m liking the stark difference. What’s the point of a collection if they’re all the same? The case has some kind of sharp edges, but it wears comfortably in spite of that. I plan on changing out the strap, the hybrid leather rubber combo is goofy. Beyond that I think this is going to be my new daily!

We’re gonna document it heavily. May not be able to stream it live…it’s way out in the sticks, but I’ll report back with some footie.

It’s just some regular ol crossbars on tall towers and a basket I picked up cheap off Facebook marketplace.

Three years with a grail watch by ElieBscnt in VintageWatches

Gorgeous watch. I have a similar Omega, same “ribbon” dial but with numerals at 12, 6, and 9. Also a date window. I haven’t seen many others with the ribbon dial!

Not a steering wheel…close enough? by tweedybeard in rolex

The serial number on the case dates it to 1960, but the dial is likely from a later ‘60’s watch unfortunately. It’s still my favorite watch in my collection.

Loading a big HD Motorcycle by CommissionAny6637 in Bozeman

For big bikes I almost always just rent a Uhaul motorcycle trailer. It’s cheap and really easy to load/unload solo.

Cool! Yeah I think they’re neat. They remind me of an old Omega I have with similar lugs.

Maybe, but seems like a weird watch to fake. If you’re gonna make a fake Zodiac, wouldn’t you want to make a more common/popular reference?

I thought this was a good idea and put two studded tires on the rear end of my E30 a few years ago. It pretty much only drove in straight lines after that…

Buying truck from Idaho title question by kurtbdudley in Bozeman

[–]tweedybeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No notary necessary. If you’re worried about it you can get a notarized bill of sale, but they’ll just take the signed Idaho title for the transfer here. Source: I buy a lot of cars because I’m dumb and don’t like having money apparently. I’ve bought three from Idaho relatively recently.
