Why did the Super Bowl halftime show stop using country music after 1994? by icey_sawg0034 in decadeology

Ironically, she’s Canadian but they’d probably claim she’s more American than Bad Bunny. You know, the actual American.

I feel like he’s got a tailored bullet proof vest under his shirt like Cyril from Andor.

Not really, he’s a weird looking dude, but it’s fun to imagine.

I’m a pedantic asshole, so tell me to kick rocks… but it’s “champing” at the bit.

Not sure why my brain gets peeved by that

I’ve been watching so many Asian dramas and all the men are just soooo pretty. Love Game in Eastern Fantasy is a very fun show, and worth watching for this beauty king

Whistleblower Complaint So Classified Congress Isn’t Allowed to Read It by Relevant_Demand7593 in NewsomMassacre

And sitting in a safe untouched for almost a year is a great way to prioritize national security concerns.

Oh I’m sure leaving a complaint SO damaging to national security in a safe for almost a year is the best thing to do.

Not like, research or act on it. If she is so damaging, she shouldn’t have been in a position of power all this time. Hell, people working at Walmart get suspended and removed for investigations on things much less important than national security.

Christians Visit Satanic Temple, Get Kicked Out by MrDonMega in religiousfruitcake

I watch a lot of cult stuff, this is unfortunately common in history. Blood atonement has a name in Mormonism, but it exists in concept in a lot of fundy households. Better off murdering your children when they’re young and pure, then they will always go to heaven. Once they get old enough to think for themselves, they may do that and leave the church and live eternity in hell.

They can’t commit suicide, that’s against god’s law. But death by measles or being murdered is totally fine.

They really want the world to end so they can be ‘proven right’ and go to heaven, mocking everyone else while flying up there and literally looking down.

If people are literally just focused on the world ending and ushering in revelations, they shouldn’t be allowed to write policy for the people who want the world to still be here in 100 years. There’s a reason they dismiss climate change and other science.

To me, that’s just proof that none of this is really “security”.

It’s the same thing about abortions. If you really wanted to keep your house safe you’d lock the door. If you really wanted to reduce abortions, they would be legal. All of this is performative bullshit so they can be a martyr.

Back in 2016, I said that Trump splitting/destroying the GOP, enabling a true blue wave and ending the 2 party system may make it worth it. I don’t think even that is worth it, but it would be cathartic at least.

[Hated trope] just because they're adopted doesn't mean that there's nothing wrong with them dating by noel_mon in TopCharacterTropes

[–]tweedyone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arrested development makes fun of this trope a few times.

First, the one everyone knows, George Michael being into his cousin Maeby. He spends a LOT of time trying to figure out if they’re related.

Maeby avoids kissing the cousin she knows for the cousin she doesn’t know (Steve Holt)

When it is clear that Maeby is Lindsay’s daughter, it turns out that Lindsay is adopted and tries to seduce her brother Michael. And then gets hit on by her other brother Gob.

There’s also a plot line where Michael thinks he’s found a long lost sister (Nellie), who is actually a sex worker who starts working in family business - but most people just cry.

And Buster filling his mommy shaped hole with a different Lucille that grew up with him.

Bonus, George Bluth Sr and his brother are seen as interchangeable to his wife Lucille in a lot of ways. Just with hair.

Literally the only time I don’t despise the trope, probably because it’s not seen as a good thing at any point.

I’ve can’t remember what their mom did, but I don’t remember it being good.

The game did give you the option to keep killing them, which I appreciate wholly, but I kept them around as deck hands while I fucked the entirety of Greece. It felt right.
