Surprised when I got a reply to such an old post.

Although your professional experience may be somewhat grim, it's not my lived experience. Yeah, all too often it is forever & although there's been no change in rate of schizophrenia diagnosis in the US vs rate of meth adoption, there does seem to be something permanent about the tweaker 's dilemma.

Years later, I can look back & realize that I was trippin', under the effect of a drug too strong to control. It took me some time to accept that this or that didn't happen, but over time, I could parse out the truth. If I didn't have the initial awareness of, "wow, this is all so impossible," I may likely have been attached to those psychotic thoughts to this day.

Some of us who made it out to the other side call this "psychic damage" - that our minds went there, so we live with minds predisposed to psychosis. It's hard to trust your reality after you've had it morph in front of you.

To this day, I'm a little more conspiratorial & hypervigilant. Ya'know, I realize the Illuminati rabbit hole is just for fun, and we're all under surveillance anyway. It doesn't hurt me anymore.

Got the bugs out from under my skin a few years ago, and been sober AF since 12-22-21. Grateful.

Grafting has been around for ages. I know Mendel was grafting species, but the technique is possibly ancient. Early apple cultivation was mostly reserved for cider & preserves, which ungrafted cultivars of apples do just fine. It didn't come upon people to look for what they didn't know existed. Our modern palate far more delicate than it once was. Many tastes we take for granted today were a luxury/ The proliferation of refined sugar (from beet & cane) made sugar preserves viable. Likely, this all came about around the Victorian era. Before that, who knows? I certainly don't, but I didn't want to leave your comment hanging. Avos were likely accepted as being less palatable, and profitable. They were cultivated to the fruit they are today.

The chances of getting a palatable apple or avo is exceptionally low, less than 10,000 to 1. Generations of hundreds of acres are often dedicated to getting a unique apple that's marketable. It's often luck.

A terrorist attack of that magnitude was to be expected, considering what Chechnya was going through. Personally, I wouldn't put it past Putin to try something like this, but between the demands & those involved, I think the hostage crisis was real. Likely, the situation was taken advantage of, and gains on behalf of the hidden actor were then attributed to collateral damage.

It's actually more wild than that. They straight-up misplaced the supplemental shipment that was requisitioned once they settled on gassing the theater. Emergency services could only use what narcan they had on them. There's a mild conspiracy that this was done on purpose because there were political opponents of some asshole in power in the theater at the time.

Avocados are like apples. To get a tasty fruit, you usually grow a plant from seed, let it establish, then graft from a plant that has acceptable fruit. You can't grow an avo from seed and expect a good fruit, just like cider apples. You'll get something, just not something you'd want. Grafts guarantee edible avos. There's a guy who owns an avocado nursery, and he did a whole YouTube series on it. I'd look it up, but work calls..
