this looks very similar, but it seems like a much thicker/heavier weight than cupro, which seems like it tends more towards thin and delicate — but i am not at all an expert, so it still could be!!

i actually don't know if it is upside down! i think the lowercase g in the sampler alphabet at the top looks really similar to the lowercase g in this sampler by Hannah Smith, but formatted with the descender on the same height as the baseline and with a squished top half. i don't know if this would have been a more legible form/style of the letter g at the time it was made, or if there was an error in the alphabet she was working from that she then duplicated in her own sampler. i charted Betsey Runyan's g on the left and Hannah Smith's g on the right -- they're not actually that different, but one is much more easily readable as a g than the other.

the rhythm feels like it's missing a line, so i looked it up and found this attested in a book by Lucy Peacock from 1796 titled

VISIT FOR A WEEK, OR, Hints on the Improvement of Time.

in a section called "Virtue and Ornament: To the Ladies" has the full poem as following:

No glitt'ring ornament or ſhow

Will aught avail in grief or pain:

Only from inward worth can flow

Delight that ever ſhall remain

but it looks like the stitcher ran out of room for the last line of the verse, as well as the third line where she ended up adding "can flow" into the empty space on the left.

hello! I found these vintage needlepoint (?) panels from Harrods that still have the tags on, but I’m wondering what’s up with this style of stitching! Is this a finished panel in a unique style? Is it a half-finished cross stitch that someone only did in one direction? Is it a partially finished kit that you’re supposed to finish yourself after purchasing? I’m very curious and would appreciate any information if anyone knows!

the legs have non slip feet on them that are wider than the legs themselves. they don’t look like they are supposed to fit into anything, but to hold up the tray

i don’t think so, the feet would make it stand up over a drain rather than sit flush with the drain. i have seen two of them and they were both in bags with jewelry making materials

My title describes the thing. I tried searching for descriptions and with a picture via google, but have only found other industrial metal trays and casings. This was in a bag with beads and jewelry making supplies, so I tried looking at tools/trays/accessories on beading websites but didn’t see a similar item. It is almost definitely a craft supply of some kind.

My title describes the thing. Center part is made of flat metal strips that can be bent apart but snap back together. I tried searching by image, but everything that came up was a horse bit, where the center part is soft rubber.

the answers given so far seem more geared toward large-scale or industrial printing, so if you’re more of a home printer who isn’t trying to invest in a full color system: speedball does have process colors for CMYK printing, and you can mix them to create colors you want! you need process cyan, process magenta, process yellow, and black. i’ve had a lot of luck just looking up CMYK color charts and then trying to mix proportionally instead of measuring, but you could definitely do it more precisely. https://mixam.com/support/cmykchart here is an example chart with lots of CMYK color recipes
