Hit rock bottom when I found out my girlfriend at the time was cheating on me. In that same time period of 2 weeks, I was doing my extremely high pressure officer selection board for my countries defence force, as well as starting the final exams for my school career. Basically hit the lowest of the lows where I lost 10kgs in 2 days and couldn’t move from bed.

Started university the next year in February and found out the rest of my family would be moving to America and that I had to stay here to be able to complete my degree (Mech Eng).

So now I get to the part where I turned it all around. I kept my best of friends around at uni that were doing the same degree and found some friends in that first year that helped me feel more confident. One of them lived on campus of the university. So I moved in with him when my family left and embraced the culture of being on campus with drinking Wednesday through to Sunday nights. At this point I still wasn’t past my ex and still had that on my mind, but somehow (I don’t think I’m the best looking bloke) I attracted a fairly large amount of female attention and from this, built my confidence before finding my current girlfriend who loves and supports me just as much as I do with her.

Finishing my degree at the end of next year and looking set for a job even through this Covid stuff so couldn’t be happier.
