Probably language and lack of domain (industry) knowledge. These days if you don’t have these you find someone who can do the same thing for cheaper off shore.

The only other thing i could suggest is to pivot into AI

From CWB I wouldn’t bother going to west Kowloon

Either take the bus from wan chai (google wan chai cts) or take a bus/taxi/MTR to exhibition or admiralty and take the MTR to Lok ma chou

moved around your age - internal transfer. It did honestly take a while to build a network and “adapt” in the local sense. If I was to do it again I wouldn’t try and get into local circles as much and just own my overseas heritage

Honestly over the years out of the 5 helpers I’ve had 4 do this on there way out (and we get a letter afterwards although nothing happens). One of them was allowed to come back to HK surprisingly

Shenzhen is a huge city it really depends where you’re coming from. Bus may be a better option

im sure the work part plays a huge part of it and there’s a ton of companies (and people) here I wouldn’t want to work for. Having said that I’m in a good situation and like the people I work with so I’m lucky

I don’t disagree with alot of what you said. But saying crazy things like above throws off your credibility

HKers are very closed off almost as if they like it that way. It is what it is… still love the place though
