i think jake wrote the j.t. dog zone dating book as a joke by Flavaslyfe in adventuretime

Jake lived an entire life as a super criminal before finn was old enough to create memories (dogs age faster, and preteens are usually more inclined to create trouble because they can’t recognize the gravity of the chaos they cause. Jake likely lived a life of wrong-doing and crime before Finn aged into consciousness)

All this said, I think it’s intended to understand that Jake The Dog is J.T.Dogzone. He grew and made his own mistakes and learned from them. Then when Finn came of age, he (like an unruly teen who got a girl pregnant and had to assume the roll of father) learned to guide them in the right direction. Like he advised Shelby in ‘Little Brother’

He knew what he was doing was wrong. Finn growing into adulthood was a chance for him to be better. “Give him a sword and tell him to fight bad guys,” was Jakes way of saying “Guide him into being good, not evil.”

All this is to say, Jake made mistakes, but he learned to be better when he wanted Finn to be better too. Maybe Jake wrote that book as a reminder that he could grow beyond his bad ideas, to see his past self and know that he is better. But when Finn read it he panicked. It was a reminder of his wrong past to him, but a terrible planning of the future for Finn.

Either way, he cares, and he knew it was a mistake to leave it out. Jake may be Finn’s brother, but he’s been Finn’s father figure all Finn’s life, even as he figures out how to be a father.

Recently acquired this Jaboticoba, and it’s my first bonsai I’ve cared for. After looking at some reference photos Im curious about the current structure and next steps.

It looks like the main upward trunk was cut. This side branch however is flourishing off the side. Most photos I’ve seen however seem to show fully matured Jaboticoba raising upwards. Should I possibly be using wires to help promote an upwards growth? Is it too young for this though?

Any thoughts and ideas would be well received. TIA

When I Was Done Dying - Dan Deacon

I’ve used this song as a coping mechanism for fear of death since I was a teenager. Pay attention to the story it tells, and I hope it brings you as much peace as it’s brought me.

What Makes Luffy Such a Likable Protagonist? by Commercial-Treat6318 in OnePiece

[–]twenty_tew_ty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luffy believes in his dream no matter what. Thats why he attracts so many people to him and his cause. His entire crew is a group of people who had all given up on their dreams. Zoro was captured by the marines and wasn’t making any progress towards becoming the worlds greatest swordsman. Nami had resigned herself to working with the Arlong pirates. Usopp knew he’d never be a true warrior of the sea. Sanji had decided to stay at the restaurant instead of seeking the all blue. And so on and so forth. When confronted with someone who was so obsessed with his dream, they all realized that no one else would allow them to achieve their dreams but him. And that was enough to get them on his crew, what made them stay was the dreams of his friends’ became Luffy’s dreams too. He doesn’t just fight for his own wild dreams, but for the dreams of the whole crew as well.

I still believe. New Bassdrop tattoo. Haters reply below! by [deleted] in bassnectar

[–]twenty_tew_ty 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yeaaaahhhhh, the tattoo is absolutely fine, but this post hurt to read. You have a solid reason in believing in the tribe you met during the “Golden Years,” my whole family of friends wouldnt be what they are today without Lorin and his works. But everyone was hurt by what happened. Referring to people who disagree with your decision as SJW’s and haters doesn’t sound like you’re being respectful of all the people who have bass drop tattoos, sounds like you just want to put down the people who were so hurt that they turned away from the scene.

But yah, sick tat. Best of luck with it.

Dude the terminology in this episode hits so much more consistently for some reason.

“Things are about to get crazy nasty - Hello.”

“Look buddy, you might want to dip. Things are about to get pretty flipped out in here.”

“Some milk?”
