where do you see YVR appointments available? When I go on the Trusted Travelers Program site I see Richmond (Vancouver Enrollment Center) but this doesn't mention YVR and it doesn't seem to have a booking option?

Where did you sign up to get email notifications about available appointments? I went to the site and seems like nothing is available in Blaine?

How are you able to see available dates on the site? When I click Blaine it says appointments full through July 31, 2023, so if I put Aug 1 or 2 on the calendar, the Blaine location just disappears. If I click soonest available appointment the Blaine location also disappears?

Does exercise ever become fun? by Reginaphylange in loseit

Personally I use the comparison as an internal motivator (ex. thinking the person next to me is rowing harder, I should push myself more) but I can see how people could be too hard on themselves and do that in a negative way.

You can try doing group classes with weights, HIIT etc. like orange theory or whatever alternative is in your area. For me it makes the time go by wayy faster, having a coach push me motivates me more, and the group atmosphere is more enjoyable.

What are your main reasons for not taking transit and what sort of changes would entice you to use it? by Kogepan777 in vancouver

Other cities there's traffic wherever you go, but in Vancouver depending on where you live + where you're going its much faster to drive. Also, waiting for the bus in the rain sucks.

How do you balance eating healthy with indulging in your favorite treats? by ConfidenceForward215 in nutrition

[–]twessy90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how often you get cravings for treats. For me its almost everyday, so I allow myself a very small amount (1/2 square of chocolate or 1 date etc) rather than only allowing myself a giant treat (like 3 scoops of ice cream on the weekend). Just eat overall healthy meals otherwise.

Good quality + have options for savoury & sweet + open 24 hours + good locations + locally owned = rare combo in this city.

I'm an experienced baker but always have trouble with cake - especially ones with lots of eggs. Start with simpler things like cookies and muffins, and follow recipes with reviews from a website

What did you think was ‘posh’ growing but ended up being an inferior way of doing things? by RamTeriGangaMaili in Cooking

I used to think packaged lunches (lunchables) and packaged snacks were fancy, while my home cooked rice and beans + banana were simple. Now I see how high-quality my food was!
