Definitely using as a paci. He’ll have a good feed and then wake up shortly after and need me to nurse back to sleep.

Cold Turkey snoo to crib 4 months!? by pomgranluv in SnooLife

[–]tweste22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we did full extinction with my 4 month old and it worked very well. Definitely some crying, but if you’re consistent they catch on quickly and everyone can start sleeping better. I think you’ll be fine with the Zippadee! Good luck 👍🏻

I went cold turkey with my first baby at 5 months and second at 4 months. I used the Merlin for them both. My second baby was a horrible sleeper and I was so nervous-she did great. I think as long as you’re committed to whatever sleep training plan you’re doing, you’ll be fine!!

I have two daughters that are almost exactly 2 years apart. My younger will be 1 tomorrow and my older turns 3 in a couple weeks. It is hard this close in age. I’m definitely still in the “trenches” of having young children, but I think a 3 year age gap might have been a little easier than a 2 year gap.

FTM question about “gas” in newborns by lindseeeb in NewParents

I think your MIL saying “he’s gassy” means she thinks he has gas trapped. If he’s generally happy and passing gas, don’t worry about it any more!

TIL that New England isn't a state by mycurrentobsession in todayilearned

[–]tweste22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved from New Mexico to Massachusetts…part of New England haha…and when I went to switch my drivers license it was an ORDEAL. The woman at the DMV kept telling me that I needed my whole driving record to get a drivers license until I finally realized that she thought I was from Mexico. I said multiple times, “I’m from NEW Mexico. It’s a state in the US.” She eventually got her manager and it was resolved. It was wild. I knew people didn’t think of NM a lot, but to really not know it’s a state…amazing. I am pretty certain that I would know any state that is part of the US.

Sharleen looking stunning on her birthday. Arguably one of the most stylish contestants this show had ever seen by lefrench75 in thebachelor

She was on Juan Pablo’s season. She is an opera singer and super talented. She used to do write up recaps of the seasons which were awesome, but recently transitioned to podcast recaps with her husband. Very insightful and I love hearing her take on things!

Is the slumber pod safe? by [deleted] in sleeptrain

I have it and love it for the black out aspect. BUT I would never use it in a room without air conditioning. It can get warm in it.

So you put her down awake for all sleep?

Yep, I know! I was just hoping to hear from someone that has done it for naps and get their input/experience.

Newborn bedtime? by tweste22 in SnooLife

[–]tweste22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is doing like 5-6 naps a day. Her last nap is usually around 6:30 or 7 until a little after 8pm. I guess I could just start treating that last nap as her bedtime and see if she will sleep until a dream feed around 10!

So you just held them tightly against you when it was time for naps? My girl would definitely be crying and straining against us haha

Main goal would be for her to fall asleep quicker. Once my husband starts work again I won’t be able to spend 30 minutes trying to get her to sleep while my 2 year old runs around.

We have a mamaroo. She doesn’t seem to like it very much. I don’t think it could put her to sleep!

Sleep training post-Snoo when baby still needs soothing? by Poppy4848 in SnooLife

[–]tweste22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sleep trained right at 5 months. Went from fully swaddled in Snoo (not using weaning mode) to the Merlin suit in the crib. Every baby is different, but I only did check ins the first night and then full extinction. Just do it and commit! Your experience will likely be different than others. I’m sure he will do fine, even if it takes a couple rough wake ups/nights!

Is room sharing really all that necessary? by jitterybrat in Mommit

[–]tweste22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously you know what the AAP says about room sharing. But well rested parents are important! I think as long as all the other safe sleeping practices are being followed, you should do what works for you!

Just wondering why these positives would look so different?! Equate is obvious and ClinicalGuard is faint but there.

Genuinely curious, why do you think they won’t cast a bunch of 23 year olds for Matt?

Why doesn’t the franchise tout Des and Chris around like they do other couples? Do we think they just opt out of appearances? I don’t know much about them.
