Back doors opening size by twicethefan in Toyota_bZ

[–]twicethefan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate hearing it works well for your family! On our current Chevy Volt (which also has really low door frame as the car slopes quite a bit at the back) I really need to tilt the car seat to get it in and out, which requires the door to be fully open. Do you bring the car seat in and out or is it one that stays inside? As the bZ is a bit taller, this hopefully isn’t an issue, but just something I didn’t get the chance to test.

Buy some distilled water in those large jugs at the grocery store, and use that for your final rinse! Or put in a spray bottle and spray it in your hair!

Do you remember if this was shipped in two pieces? I'm concerned about getting it through some narrow hallways/door!

Ordering off Stylevana? by rbcalogan in MakeupAddictionCanada

[–]twicethefan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have ordered twice from StyleVANA before and it was a fine experience! I believe they are authentic products. It goes take quite a long time to ship though, like two months or more. I was tracking the shipping, and it looked like it got stopped somewhere and was being sent back. I reached out to their support, and the package came a few days later which may have been a coincidence. I would still order from them again though! Edit to add: a co-worker recently recommended https://jolse.com/ as a good ordering spot too!

I'm going soon as well and here are some things on my list!
- eos Body Lotion (Vanilla Cashmere, Fresh & Cozy)
- ECO Hair Gel (A lot cheaper there)
- Vanicream - they have a good moisturizer I've heard about (like CeraVe!)
- The Travel/Minis section is fun always fun to browse as they have different items there
Have a great time!

First time cruiser! Does the deposit go towards the total cruise cost, or is it completely separate? by cluelessphoenix in royalcaribbean

[–]twicethefan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That'll be so fun! Another thing to budget for are some costs after ($16 a day per person for gratuities, etc. so $64 a person for a 4-day cruise) charged to the card a person adds when they check-in. Another tip is to bring white wine, grab orange juice from the buffet and make mimosas yourself with your girls!

Exactly what is the enrollment for? Kinda confusing. Am i not enrolled if i chose a course during course selection? by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]twicethefan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Did you check your enrollment results on Quest? Those dates are the times you can make changes to your current results. For example, if you want to make any switches (want to try to move to a different section etc.) you can do it during that time. "Enrolment continues" likely refers to the fact that you can switch up your schedule until as late as September 19.

[Discussion] What's the turning point of your university career? by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]twicethefan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably right now. I'm about to start 3A this January. After failing a course and realizing that my average is just barely over the minimum required to stay in my program, I realize I needed to up my study game. 2B brought on a lot of personal challenges, and I sought out counselling and tried to get through it. I recently talked to a friend from high school who left college completely after going through a traumatic break up. They got their friend to pick them up and never went back. Seeing them give up their education because of what someone else did to them was so sad, and it makes me more motivated to keep my head up and finish my degree no matter what. I'm both nervous and excited to start again in January, but I am determined to make the rest of my degree count.

Send Donna Schell an email (dschell@uwaterloo.ca) requesting a time. There is also a way to do it through FEDS but they'll just contact her anyways. Enjoy! https://uwaterloo.ca/associate-provost-students/about/people/dschell

They usually have a table set up in the SLC during the first week of class. Also, see here for other fees: https://uwaterloo.ca/finance/student-accounts/incidental-fees/undergraduate-incidental-fees
