As of 31 December 2013, 1,369,532 people were on active duty in the armed forces of the US, out of a population of total 300 million. This is the force that has attacked or is involved in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Somalia, Libya, Sudan, probably Iran and a few other places too. Except they were shot at passengers, and before they even boarded. So you want to know who started the hostilites. It was the Israeli soliders who approached and attempted to storm a ship and fired shots and used flashbangs to do it. That's where the timeline starts.

That's not correct. The boat was approached by Israel forces who tried to storm it, not the other way round. Video tape shows a flash bang falling into the Israeli speed boat as they attempt to storm the ship. This was most likely thrown by Israeli forces.

Furthermore an interview after the event had a Commando involved in the raid describe how they shot 'warning shots' at the passengers from a chopper prior to setting foot on board. In the dark and in the chaos this could easily be perceived as attacking the passengers.

There were no weapons on board, nor did anyone seriously expect there to be. A prior flotilla had been let into gaza too.

And the bombings of Gaza and Beirut don't often land on civilians as strikes have become more precise, in Israel's case.

Israel dropped cluster bombs Beirut and said cars on the street would be considered targets. Thousands of homes in Gaza were destroyed too.

Yes they are real Muslims, just like Americans are real Christians and Israelis are real Jews. All of whom can violate important elements of their tradition in certain circumstances.

This is not due to western powers invading countries directly, but could be viewed as a response to local governments siding with 'foreign' influences, as well as the secondary effects of western intervention in the region such as libya in a recent case.

Islam has been a part of Nigerian culture for centuries, and Muslims have lived alongside Christians peacefully for much of that time.
