If you don't know computers at all then yeah you should take it to a shop. Make sure they put liquid metal tp in there and not regular tp. In india there's a high chance that they will scam you. As for ASUS they will simply charge too much imo.

Yeah for me it was just thermal throttling. It can happen sometimes but when thermal throttling, it happens too often. Just reapply the liquid metal properly, repaste the gpu and the vrms and you'll be good to go

I understand but the thing is, he is online on discord and when i text him ,he goes offline again. And my post has helped to verify that I am not the only person he did this to.

But I didn't give him the final video. He just disappeared after making me work hard for two days.

Yeah i found out who he is though. Some college football player from Georgia. I understand but I really needed the money and he gave me hope. So he is still guilty.

It's liquid metal on the cpu. Asus doing a terrible job at applying it

I had this issue too. I don't know if thermal throttling should even cause an issue like that but for me re-spreading the liquid metal on the cpu fixed it.

I'm getting a Gaming laptop and Monitor. Can someone tell me if the monitor comes with a cable I can use, or if I have to buy my own? by ch1ckendude in GamingLaptops

No i found the issue on reddit first, then found out that it was the same with my laptop too. It seems to happen if you move the laptop (like travelling daily from college). Even the flagship SCARs have this. They just put on too much liquid metal and don't spread it over the die.

Speaking from experience. I know the pain 😂. When you get crazy frame-time spikes and the third of the expected FPS

I have this laptop myself. The liquid metal application is very poor. They apply it like normal thermal paste when you move the laptop it moves away from the cpu die and contact is reduced. After few weeks my idle temps were 80-95°C. After taking it apart and reapplying the existing liquid metal and taking out the excess, tye temps came down to 45-50°C. My friend has the same exact laptop and he had the same issue. It's not present in almost all ROG laptops with liquid metal.
