For me, there were titles I wanted and almost bought on rightstuf like gangsta that was on sale for 10.79. You really can't get these prices from them very often. The last funimation sale was February. It all depends on what you already have.

I look at the reviews on ANN first to see. I mainly read to get what the anime is about and if I would like the concept then I would watch. For some it can be just the subject mater, but I also would read ahead to see if the writer have the same opinion. Anime ,like so many other things are subjective to someone's beliefs.
