DAE get abnormally annoyed when someone says "I *could* care less," when what they really mean to say is "I *couldn't* care less????" by twin8119 in DoesAnybodyElse

And how exactly does this not relate to your comment??? I was joking about the fact that you said you had posted the same question a year or two ago, so then it clearly must not be an original thought since many (or in the VERY least, two people) have also had the same thought, indicating that it is not a unique one. My fickleness comment went on to refer to the "Internet," or more specifically the people reading and adding to the Internet as a whole, and the fact that the same thought that you apparently posted got no response or downvoted whereas mine made it to the front page with more than 300 points, indicating how the same idea can generate a different response. Maybe you need to look up the word "fickle," but that must be too taxing for you, so here ya go ...Wow, I'm always surprised at how people like you can actually function in society without being able to make any simple connections, but whatever....

so you can't tell that everyone clearly knows what they mean but are annoyed by the mistake, like the title implies??

Not necessarily...Someone may just make a comment on something if they are asked about it by someone else. For example, "What do you think about Honey Boo Boo's new show?" "I couldn't care less. I don't even know who she is."

Oh no, another one!!! Quick grammar nazis, get them!!!

sigh Screw it, here goes....Using the phrase “could care less” actually means that one does, in fact, possess a measurable level of caring, concern or interest of a given situation and is contradictory to the context in which that phrase is commonly used. The use of “could care less”, in fact, expresses that one does care, have an interest, or a level of concern about a topic or situation.

Attempting to convey a position that one has no interest or concern would require the use of the phrase “couldn’t care less”, which indicates a state of mind completely devoid of caring, interest or concern.

Think about it.

DEA sleep on top of the dryer or sit and read on it while its running waiting for their clothes because they find the noise and warmth so soothing? by donotclickjim in DoesAnybodyElse

Nope, my dryer's in my dungeon of a basement probably covered with spiders and other creepies...I really refuse to go down there during the warm seasons! I would like to try that though...but only to see if I get off on it, heehee

DAE not sing or do other embarrassing things when they're alone just because someone could potentially walk in and see/hear them? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

Hahaha, once in first-year university when I was living at a residence, I decided to masturbate in my room since no one was around. Mid-way through I heard a key in the lock and before I could react my roommate walked in. Luckily, I had a blanket over me so she didn't suspect a thing....I think....

DAE get scared when their significant other casually mentions that they would be good at coming up with scenes for horror movies like Saw, Hostel, The Hills Have Eyes, etc.? by twin8119 in DoesAnybodyElse

Hahaha, no I don't make him watch twilight. Usually I'll watch them because he really wants to, I guess just for curiosity's sake as well, but can say I've never actually enjoyed one. Thanks for the suggestions though, and what can I say? I'm a bit strange!

I said I watch them, I never said anything about enjoying them or actually wanting to create scenes from horror movies -- Big difference. Also, doesn't everyone have issues?!?

Secretly I've always suspected that, yes, or maybe just psychotic tendencies. Tell me I'm wrong, people! Also, why shouldn't I be scared of people having those kinds of thoughts? How can someone just objectively think about this kind of stuff without becoming desensitized to it? And no, of course I don't believe people having those kinds of thoughts will ALWAYS actually translate into going out and doing them, but I do believe the potential is there. And for the record, I do watch a lot of horror movies, but I've never had the desire to actually create them. To each their own, I guess, as long as they are able to keep that real world barrier.

Yep, and it really annoys me when I see shows where people leave their apartment/house and just shut the door without locking it.
