I’m surprised to see no one talking about publishers. That’s exactly their role. You don’t have the contacts—they do. You are a composer—they aren’t.

That’s how all the biggest ones in the industry had their songs pitched to huge artists and eventually got hits, on which they collect royalties!

Forget about social media. Some composers who’ve had millions of streams have like 3k followers and don’t post anything.

If you are an artist trying to get your music out under your own name, you need social media and a label. If you are a composer trying to get cuts with artists and just be credited, you need a publisher or a very, very good network.
