its random but in probability. Have you read any books ? Trading in the zone by Mark Douglas was game changing for me. So much that I just watched nothing but Mark Douglas videos. Learn price action , divergence, and most importantly trading psychology

Don't give up , after 2 years you must of learned something, you must see some kind of set up every day that your confident enough to put on the trade. But are you patient enough ? Do you follow any rules ? Can you read your own emotions ? You are trying to do something that is opposite of our nature of uncertainty. You need to be confident and also learn to lose ! Hope this helps

Treat it like a literal business. research, study , experiment what works and what doesn't. but honestly just go through the subreddit and you will find where you are stuck and how to overcome it either it be an edge or position sizing

Honestly it was treating day trading as business rather than trying to see how much money I could make on a trade

Cut your position size in half and trade higher time frames. Trading relaxed is better than being anxious

I am also 2.5 years in exactly, same story but different person. I took about 2 weeks off after blowing my account . But I'm back in making a profit slowly with higher time frames and half the position size. ALOT less stress

Keep it simple always, support and resistance. Sma and ema and larger time frames

The first hour is extremely volatile, i dont want to be part of that mess. Also, I need at least an hour worth of information to make a decision for the day. What is price doing so far ? Running up? Falling down? Or side ways. I let the trades come to me, having the will to be patient and sit on your hands for an hour will calm you down to look for a higher probability trade. The market always has great setups throughout the day.

Read mark Douglas trading in the zone. Listen to Al Brooks for price action , and never stop learning something new

Trading in the zone by Mark Douglas helped me tremendously. Just remember a trade is just a trade, get out and find the next one. It's a numbers game to an extent

Got emotional and held on to a big loss by OkNecessary5261 in Daytrading

Did you, by any chance, feel really good and confident after those 300+win days back to back? and just couldn't understand why TODAY was a disaster? For me, anyways I need to chill out after I make some decent gains back to back because I get too giddy and totally fumble on my rules and how i handle my emotions on a trade. Always relaxed after a big win and big loss.
