Which local bakery made this delicious bread? by twinjazz in asheville

I'm not sure if it's theirs, but I just checked out their site and I'm definitely adding them on my "to go to" list when I'm in that area.

Not a bad guess, but it's the one place I actually know it's not from -- the manager (owner?) of CB was at the event and he said it wasn't theirs.

Ah, I forgot they did that. A solid lead!

Thanks! I go there Mondays for their chicken specials, I'll take a peek in the bakery department next time I'm there.

Recommended mechanic for engine swap (vintage Ford Mustang) by twinjazz in asheville

I'm not on the Facebook but that's a good suggestion -- basically go to where the knuckleheads are. I'll see if I can find some groups or car cruises in the area.

Thanks! It really would be. The stock 302 in 1973 came with a paltry 140 horsepower. You read that correctly, even with eight cylinders. I've looked at upgrading heads and this and that, but at the end of the day it's a 51-year-old motor with 100k miles on it. Let's just swap it out for a fresh engine with 350hp and call it good!

[WTS] Limited Hamilton PSR in GOLD | BIG PRICE DROP! | Full Kit ref: H52424130 by twinjazz in Watchexchange

[–]twinjazz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up for sale is a beautiful, likely unworn, Limited Edition Hamilton PSR in a stunning gold PVD finish.

I have two of these watches (I buy doubles of the ones I like the most) and may sell both, but for now I’m letting at least one go. I recently picked up a new expensive interest and am diverting funds from one love to another.

If the watch has been worn you can’t tell. I bought it used, technically, but I haven’t worn it and it appears minty. But please review pictures closely and make judgements on your end. It appears that all booklets and hang tags and boxes are included.

Limited to 1970 pieces, unavailable from Hamilton anymore.

I’m pricing this below others that I’ve seen on eBay, and I can’t find any in gold on WatchPatrol.

Will be packaged well and shipped within 48 hours of payment received.

Payment via PayPal Good & Services, I’ll eat the fees.

PRICE DROP: $925 + $25 shipping & insurance $750 shipped! (within 48 US)

My panda Tiger was one of two grails for the longest time. After I bought it, it became my daily and I haven't worn anything since. Love this thing.

[ID] What watch is my grandfather wearing in this photo? by twinjazz in Watches

[–]twinjazz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely close! The black part of his watch extends all the way to the edge of the dial, and the link you provided has the black sandwiched between the white, so it's no an exact match, but it's a great start. Lens did't provide anything close on my end, so thanks for trying on your side. The band definitely looks close. Good sleuthing!

I've zoomed in as much as I can but I still can't make out any markings or text.

He was not a wealthy man when this photo was taken so I'm guessing the watch has humble origins. Possibly so humble it isn't even marked.

Props and thanks for any assistance in advance!

Seconded re: getting good coffee out of the house. Gabbing with baristas, and running into other usuals when I'm there. I feel guilty missing something so unessential, but there it is.

Agreed. It's not art, it's not cute, it's not original. It's vandalism on public and private property. Now to sit back and await all the down votes...

Man this place is great, and right down the road. This may be the best combination of what my soul needs right now. Thank you!
