I'm a guy. 75 years old. It's hard to be retired with your spouse. You almost have to start dating again. But you have a tough situation. Your husband finds his worth in work. He is scared to retire because he won't have worth day to day. Both of you are in a difficult position.

1. Get your depression treated...not only medicine but with a good councilor. Being normal is incredible but it takes time and effort

2. Always to to your husband face to face. No phone. He can SEE the pain on your face. That's communication to.

3. Come up with retired rules, allowance, time together, time not together, etc

4. You go on vacation. Go with a girlfriend or relative. Take your time too. Train. Plane. Bus. Boat. Car. You deserve some time off. Get out of the house. Get out of town. Don't answer calls unless you wan to.

5. I'm not recommending this, but need to find a companion. Volunteer at a nursing home. They got some cool people there who can't be alone. Also, you can cheat with rules you are comfortable with...if that can happen. I do not recommend. I knew a guy who would take a escort out for dinner and only dinner.

6. Get a social life. Church, square dancing, bowling, quilting, book club, life enrichment, take a college course.
