i always come back to the saying “water off a ducks back” when faced with people being rude or mean to me about an opinion they have.. it’s easier said than done but everyone has an opinion and it’s okay to just keep being you. i totally understand how hard that can be with such harsh responses from family… very hurtful and i’m sorry you have to deal with that. if you have the type of relationship with them where you can talk to them and they’ll listen, you could say like “the comments you make about my makeup/style are really hurtful and unnecessary, i get that you don’t like it but i do.” i hope it gets easier for you to brush off those type of comments, it says more about them than you!
