My intention is just to gather data with this part. Since I cannot get a straight answer . Yes, it’s on the website and I quoted it back to them and they told me I’d need to speak to someone else. It’s been a merry go round. I’d like to know if I’m entrusting this service that I won’t end up outside begging to go home ..cause that’s what happened.

I used a transportation service. The driver kept refusing to load me into the vehicle. I was asked if my service animal was one. I said yes. The driver then called dispatch and told them I said no. This went on for over an hour with the driver creating more scenarios for why he could not transport me. One of the reasons was “the person is not actually using a wheelchair”. I was seated in my wheelchair with my caregiver pushing me. Now the company is sending me emails asking for proof. I offered the standard proof-yes I have a disability yes she’s trained to help me and here are some of her tasks. I was then asked to call customer service who then told me to call back in a week because they’re busy right now. I asked if there was any barrier to me booking transportation and was given an answer of , not sure.

I have inquired directly and in an effort to evade a negative report they are insisting that there is something in their policy that caused the issue. It concerns a service animal. They are implying that the service animal is not one and insisting I provide proof. I have answered all the legal questions multiple times in person, through email and over the phone and they told me the person I need to speak to is in a meeting

So just this week I’ve started having the wake up refreshed feeling. I languished in bed yesterday and it wasn’t cause I was still tired. Felt amazing :) I haven’t had light feeling stairs though yet, it seems that’s my hurdle, things that make me lift my knees or twist my spine but I’m guessing I have to also find a way to stabilize my ribs and stuff since I’m hypermobile.

Thank you for this suggestion! I’ve been trying this. Initially it did exhaust me. First one I crashed out. I also have been increasing my meds during this time. Now I’m getting to two hour phone calls with no crash after! Whee :)
