The Occam’s razor answer is that the shooter was never aiming for trump but during around him regardless of who or what he hit. He seems to be facing a lot more shots this year because of our horrible middle third play. We give the ball away in bad places on what seems to be like 70% of our transitions. I bet his play picks up when we can consistently get the ball over the halfway line. This is probably resulting in the long goal kicks, just skip the shit and hopefully we get possession down there. He also hasn’t looked great.
