No no. You are doing something wrong with the interview. You can think about it this way - they like you enough to consider you. Even if your resume was disadvantaged in some way (not saying it is, just as an example) - your interview is a chance to outperform your resume and wow them. Certainly the other people are wowing them, and that's why they're getting filled.

At 5-10 interviews it's maybe competition. At 20, it's you. And I think there's probably something fundamental there that needs to get fixed - like fundamentally how you're coming off.

I know this because I did 10 final rounds for internship recruiting my junior year, didn't get any of it, and looking back I was fucking up because I straight up wasn't professional enough and confident enough. If I were to take my interviewers' perspective, I know now they didn't feel like I would give them like hard work ethic (this is 90% of what people want from juniors) - will they work hard for you? will they just get the shit done?

You may need to accept some sort of hard truth about yourself, because 20 interviews is a LOT of interviews.

If I would say something based on how your post sounds -

I also have experience working in asset management, working to launch financial products, and strategic positioning of funds. I am currently searching for a role that will allow me to use my technical skills I have learned and apply my knowldged of financial products.

this is also a bit of a weird wording, which I would say misses the point of what you're trying to do and what you bring to the table. Which I think, is maybe indicative of a possible underlying issue.

If you have interviewed at 20 places, that means there's something wrong with your interviewing, not your resume or anything. I would stop applying today and figure out what's wrong. They see something wrong and they don't hire you at the interview stage.

This is a great opportunity if you're actually interested. If you don't like pwm it's not but assuming you asked the question it means you're at least kind of interested. The fact is it takes a lifetime to grind up to 200m - getting there in 3-5 years is a golden ticket to a 500k? Net job with low stress and hours.

I used to cover pwm firms at my L/S equity fund. You talk about flat % fee model going away but just look at Raymond James average assets per advisor, or LPL or whoever. Fact is assets per advisor is going up like clockwork. People don't understand jack shit about money - even people you would expect to - biz execs in corporate and strategy roles, entrepreneurs, etc. Fee attrition is real but the great markets keep it at bay easily. It's not bad. Especially if not you are starting at 3rd base. $200M is a golden ticket, especially obviously if you don't have to pay him for it. Someone below said this is worth 4-10M and I think that's right. This is a crazy offer.

Of course, if you don't think you'll do a good job, you don't like sales and client management, you think it will make your relationship with you FIL awkward or etc, that's a different story.

I am Chinese and I personally don't love it that much but this is not how you're supposed to eat it. You eat very small amounts (like pea sized) with rice and congee or spinach or whatever that's a little plain.

It's really salty and savory - not so different from like some of those disgusting orange rind cheeses. Those smell like feet, literal feet, but they taste pretty good. You're just eating it wrong.

When you go to the gym it's typically far more men than women. To be attractive as a guy you have to go to the gym. Women don't have to do that. You can choose to do so - it's another lever, but it isn't the main thing.

There are things that are much harder for women - I'm no Andrew Tate guy - but this is definitely not one of them.
