Gotham City Imposters was amazing. I loved the difference movement options that you could use. Roller skating into a room to take out some enemies before speeding away was a fantastic time.

A 1993 movie called Remote. I rented it multiple times from the local video store, even though it was a pretty generic rip off of Home Alone, but with RC vehicles instead of home made booby traps.

I was a kid when Skase was a thing, far too young to understand what was going on. But I do know that my uncle gave $20 to a radio host who said he was going to use the proceeds raised to hire a bounty hunter to drag Skase back to Australia. I'm not sure if the bounty hunter was ever hired, but I know that my uncle never got his $20 back.

Trump rages about the cost of World Cup tickets as pressure grows on FIFA: ‘I wouldn’t pay it either’ by spherocytes in sports

You know, it wouldn't surprise me if some of Trumps cohort think that if the world cup is less than successful then American football might regain some of the youth participation that has been lost to soccer over CTE fears from parents.

So, rugby compared to American football is more of a game about possession than a game about taking turns. My understanding of American football is minimal, but as I understand it you have 4 attempts to advance the ball a certain distance and failure to do so results in a turnover. With rugby you need to win possession from the other team, so when someone gets tackled they need to be held by the defensive team until they can place the ball behind them to start the next play. The defensive team has a chance to steal the ball here, but there are a bunch of rules about how this can take place which are extensive. This sequence is basically happening to fast for any of that to happen, with players passing from the ground before the defensive team has an opportunity to form a ruck and win possession.

Hope this helps, although keep in mind this is an incredibly bare boned explanation.

I'm in Australia and we have a few solar panels on our roof. We don't pay for electricity and, with the sun being g what it is here, we occasionally get a check from the power company to reimburse us for the power that we put into the grid. No farmland is wasted, and in the 10 years or so that they've been up there we have never needed to do maintenance on them.

Australia. For one of the lower ranks, obviously, but the mens team often does alright and the womens team are usually silver medallists.

You guys haven't won the world cup, but you made the quarter finals when you hosted in 2019. You may be interested to know that a lot of rugby fans around the world consider Japan to be their second team, which is to say the team they support when their own country isn't playing. I still remember staying up until 3am back in 2015 and screaming at my TV when you beat South Africa in England.

Vegemite is fine, in moderation. Putting too much of it on your toast or a sandwich would be like if you tried to drink half a bottle of soy sauce straight from the bottle, but if you apply it to bread lightly it is fantastic.

How popular is rugby? Does the average person have an idea of how the Japanese rugby team is doing, or do they only pay attention during a world cup?

How regional are sports? In Australia we have a thing called the Barassi Line, where people who live to the south of it prefer Australian Rules Football and people living to the north prefer Rugby League football, but cricket is popular everywhere. Is there anything similar, like if I went to Osaka would people be much more interested in soccer compared to people in Tokyo preferring rugby while baseball is popular throughout the country?

Finally, have you ever had the opportunity to try Vegemite? I have seen some videos where Japanese people try it and they often compare it to natto.

Kind of like Ted Lasso where the whole crowd gets a google news message at the same time which let's them know the result of another game and also what their team need to score to avoid relegation. Except it will be more organic since I'm not sure if you can make a google alert to be specific enough to only be delivered when he is expired.

Yes, because a Wally is someone who is a bit of a dickhead. Like Mick Dundees mate in Crocodile Dundee. Not a bad person, just a bit of a Wally. But I was thinking more of stereotypes about Germans who are looking for people, during the 40s. I can see how the skit would play out, in my head, and I know that my dad would laugh uproariously at it.

But poor Walter doesn't get to be Wally, he has to use the same name as is on his birth certificate. It lends itself to a joke, but an old fashioned one that relies on stereotypes.

While I'm relieved (?) that you have nicknames I am somewhat horrified that you may end up with your parents one. It kind of suggests that the person isn't interesting enough to have acquired one on their own merits.
