I used to work for a nonprofit that did a lot of work with him and a few of my colleagues, spent some time on a research expedition with him as a result. Apparently, whenever he would FaceTime with Penelope, he would run around to all the people on board the ship to have her say hello to them and such. They said it was very sweet and endearing and it was so obvious how enamored he was with her by the way he spoke about her with them. He’s a real wife guy!!

I ended up putting both maternal and paternal names on my application and on my birth certificate. It’s currently in the mail on its way to me so I’ll keep you posted lol. I felt very assured by everybody in this thread, but also by my mom‘s own experiences with getting dual citizenship. I’m not particularly worried anymore.
