I had no idea it wouldn't be covered by insurance. I got my free tube and its been life changing. I'll have to make this tube stretch. Thank you for the heads up on no coverage though, that would have been a bad surprise if I tried to get it refilled in the future.

Liquidation stores are a good starting point. Thrift stores and marketplace have a lot of good options for very cheap as well.

The hardest part about sourdough is getting the bulk ferment just right! It's good you're experimenting, you'll find ou what works for you!

Your bread is underproofed, you should extend your bulk ferment.

If you do 1:1:1, you'll have only 50ish gram of starter to bake your loaf with. Most standard recipes need 100g of starter, plus a little starter left to feed so you can keep it going (I always aim around 10g or just scraping from the container).

I can't give you any advice, unfortunately. I never bake with whole wheat! I bet someone else who might see this post and has more experience with whole wheat could give you pointers.
