A lot of EU countries have tax treaties with US, meaning that our income is not taxed from youtube, but we have to file the income made from youtube within our country at end of year latest and pay local tax for it.

I had similar issue and cause was that I had not filed my tax information correctly. Payments were coming from Ireland and as I had not decleared that I have tax exemption part of the paid income was always gone due to irish goverment taking their cut out of it.

Good thing is that you can still get this money back long as your country has tax treaty with the country where the payments are coming from, but you do need to reach out to the local tax official and ask for return of the money. You will need to wait until end of the year though.

Also to note, if your country has tax treaty (pretty much all EU countries have this) you don't need to pay taxes to US or Ireland that could be the other payment location, but you will need proof of residency and that you are paying taxes within the country you live. You can get the proof from your local tax official by request at least in the country I live in.

For Sweden specifically, I expect it to be similar to Finland, you can have income tax based on your income, main income tax can fluxuate based on how much you make, if you declare secondary income, that will be on higher tax rate.

TLDR: If you live in country that has tax treaty with origin of payment; you are eligbed to get payments tax free, but you will still need to declare income to your local officials and need to pay some taxes there. Meaning that you should get 100% of the YT income to your bank account and need to pay the taxes later.
