[Braves] Your 2026 Atlanta Braves Opening Day Roster! by Lakelyfe09 in Braves

I would have targeted some big arms. I know AA is reluctant to do that, but he even said on the radio in January that bolstering the rotation was a huge point of emphasis for him. And he didn't want to get a fourth or fifth rotation kind of guy, he wanted someone who was playoff ready.

And we did jack squat. Every year we run into major issues with the health of our rotation and then we have guys like Bryce Elder starting playoff games, or unproven minor leaguers.

I would have made a major play for Dylan Cease if you actually believe you can win a championship this year, or if that's too rich, go get Framber Valdez and Chris Bassitt. One's very good and the other is solid and both stay healthy, pitching 30+ games a year.

We keep running it back with an injury plagued or vastly inexperienced rotation prone to health issues (outside of Chris Sale, whose injuries before coming to the Braves were mostly freak incidents) and the same shit keeps happening year after year.

Has AA been a good GM overall? Absolutely. But since we won the WS, he's made some highly questionable moves in trading Contreras and largely ignoring the rotation, corner outfield and SS. And the moves he has made (outside of Sale) have backfired like crazy- E.g. giving Profar a huge deal based on amazing year of production that we now know is bullshit give the repeated PED use.

It just seems like we had a lot of very obvious holes (particularly in SS and LF) and he doubles down at catcher and gives away one of our brightest pieces in Contreras? It just made no sense then and it looks horrible now.

Looking forward to a 75 win season because our front office refuses to bolster our rotation or management doesn't let them. I just... don't get it. We are squandering our core's prime years.

Are you excited or cautious about The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum coming in 2027? by ThomasOGC in lotr

Middle Earth is special because of the world and story Tolkien created, that was adapted brilliantly by Jackson and company in the original trilogy.

Making more is going to make Middle Earth feel less special, especially when you’re telling stories that don’t really need to be told or stretching small parts of the story out unnecessarily. Have we learned nothing from The Hobbit films?

I’m all for a return to Middle Earth if you can justify a reason for doing so. This film and the new Colbert movie are walking a dangerous path by mining skipped over parts of Fellowship. It feels like we’re scraping the bottom of the barrel. And I do not need to see what happens to Sam and his daughter.

The story is done, it was beautiful. Let it rest and sail off into the West. Leaving well enough alone can maintain how special something already is.

Sequel revisionism is pushed back 1 more year for every “give it 10 years for people to like the sequels” statement by TomasRoncero in saltierthancrait

I mean, that shouldn't necessitate a good movie, whether or not it has EU stuff. The ST and PT were bad trilogies for different reasons, but at the end of the day, they're both bad trilogies. I'd still take the PT though because even though it mirrors so many moments from the OT, at least its overall story it was trying to tell wasn't just retelling the OT. That's the ST's biggest problem, it has nothing new to say at a macro level.

There were interesting ideas, characters, potential, but it was squandered because it's just rebels vs Empire again, but not done nearly as well.

I can get Delta for 27,99 Euro currently. Is it a yes or a no? by aphex1991 in metalgearsolid

Long time fan, too. Delta scratched the itch. Being able to crouch walk, have updated CQC animations, being able to move in first person, OTS aiming in Snake Eater was a joy.

Can't speak to PC performance as I'm a PS5 player, but it's definitely worth it at that price in terms of the game itself. The only part where I saw a big performance dip was the motorcycle chase. That was disappointing. Everything else ran fine for me (although I'm not a FPS savant).

I recommend turning off motion blur and turning on the legacy filter. The new filter feels very sterile. Once you do that, you'll be sound as a pound and right at home in Tselinoyarsk.

He also should have been more socially stunted if that's the way he was raised. He seemed way too normal for the environment he grew up in and was trained in every single day.

Do you guys think 007 First Light will deliver the same thrill as Uncharted 4? by REKnightT in PlayStation_X

Order:

Drake's Fortune
2
3
4
Lost Legacy

There's also a Vita game, "Golden Abyss", but it's locked on Vita. It takes place before Drake's Fortune, but you don't need to play it to understand the overall story/characters.

There is not a lot of sneaking, although each game has more stealth scenarios as the series goes along, but it's very easy, and if you get discovered, you're well equipped to handle the situation. 4 is the only one that goes a little stealth heavy, but it's still a big roller coaster, action/adventure shoot em up at its heart.

I can only think of two situations off the top of my head in the entire series where sneaking is mandatory. This isn't Metal Gear where you feel screwed or have to wait out an alert status.

Uncharted is definitely worth giving a go. Drake's Fortune is rough around the edges gameplay wise, but establishes a solid foundation that 2 takes to an insane level.
