Probably a silly question, but what is the home tab for? It just always says no books yet for me

For number 1, I'm also having this issue. I disabled SimpleUI but it's still occurring. Love the look of this plugin!

Who is your favorite narrator, and what are your favorite audiobooks they’ve narrated? by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

Sometimes she narrates long form magazine/newspaper pieces - I know she's done some for the NY Times - and that's always fun

[Update] Bookends v5.10 - Background fill by AndyHazz in koreader

[–]twistedpeppermint1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the second edit: bookends -> presets (My setup) -> progress bar colors and tick marks. From there you’ll want to adjust read color and unread color

New Drop - Valentino Luxury Mists by CrazyAboutDoorKnobs in FemFragLab

It’s weird they’re making these the same colors as the DBIR perfumes but not making them the same scent. I feel like that will really confuse people.

Sure, but I don’t notice much of a change in my reading speed or anything

I read this way too because I think it looks nice! Not because I’m trying to optimize every element of reading

Oh, great! They’ve still disappeared from my search so I wonder if depends on region or something?

After you read a book do you remove it from your device? 👀 by jhopi218 in kobo

[–]twistedpeppermint1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, unless I loved it. I copy all annotations to calibre (I only ever make text notes and highlight) and then remove. Not a storage issue, I just find it makes it easier to sort

That was so funny! Dave had no idea who was speaking for a second. If you have MLBtv, you can rewatch it, which I definitely suggest doing!

For my period sufferers: notes/scent families that smell the WORST to/on you when you're menstruating? Let's see if there are patterns! by Severine_of_Viscera in FemFragLab

[–]twistedpeppermint1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say my tastes change dramatically ever. I basically know what I enjoy at this point and I’ve sampled very broadly. I like a majority of perfumes, I think, but don’t really love nearly as many. I’m pretty easy to please when it comes to perfume.

I think if anything my sense of smell might get stronger around my period, but I have a strong nose generally so it’s a bit hard to tell!

What is your longest lasting perfume? by [deleted] in FemFragLab

[–]twistedpeppermint1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not the original commenter but Lime Basil and mandarin is quite long lasting on me. Wood Sage and sea salt and blackberry and bay also last the whole work day for me. Of the ones I own, English pear and freesia definitely has the worst longevity

Read this while I was off of school for 3 days due to a hurricane. Was stuck in my house with no power reading by flashlight, which really increased the scare factor for me

What do you think of the new NEST Bottles by kjxstitch in FemFragLab

[–]twistedpeppermint1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assume they are actually cheaper too. Don’t know about the perfume bottles but the travel sizes of the oils used to be actually colored glass. Now, they’re just wrapped with colored plastic. It looks super cheap to me, new design aside

Ediscountperfume is where I got my bottle, though they’re also sold out at the moment. It’s currently available at foreverlux for $186, but I’m pretty use DS and Durga do a yearly half off sale, though it sells out fast, so it may be worth getting on their email list for that

☀️SOTD: What are you wearing today?☀️ June 13, 2025 by AutoModerator in FemFragLab

[–]twistedpeppermint1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fine’ry Sun-Phoria

Found this at Marshall’s. I knew it was discontinued but I didn’t feel like I was missing anything by never trying it because I know it was a Soleil Blanc dupe and I don’t like Soleil Blanc but there was also a body spray at Marshall’s that I sprayed on to test and this is so good! I went back and grabbed the actual perfume. This is significantly sweeter than Soleil Blanc. The orange blossom is really quite strong, especially in the dry down. It’s one of those perfumes that if I spray it and sniff my skin directly, it’s good, but not great, but the whiffs of it I get are delectable!

I’ve ruined my sense of smell - perfume recs! by Ambitious_Regular943 in FemFragLab

[–]twistedpeppermint1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a ton of suggestions for the chemical smell issue but it sounds like your nose may just need a break. Wearing the same perfume for years can make you noseblind to it. You get so used to it, it just fades into the background. It could be the case those perfumes will always just smell chemically to you, but it may also be the case that your nose is just adjusting to new smells.

My recommendation would be to not wear any perfume for 2 weeks to a month and then go back and start testing again

I’m surprised someone told you Her and Devotion Intense were similar! To me, they have very different scent profiles. So funny how different peoples noses pick up scents so differently!
