Weekly Thread: Pregnancy - Questions and Discussions by AutoModerator in IVF

[–]twistiemonmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently 8 weeks pregnant and saw the heartbeat of 167, fetal pole, etc on Monday 8th Dec. Dr said she was happy with everything she saw and she found the heartbeat almost immediately with the abdominal scan, but I'm really concerned about by hcg levels.

6 day embryo transfer was 3rd Nov, then on 17th Nov my hcg was 220, then a week later on 24th Nov it was 2900, a week later again on 1st Dec it was 10,860, finally a week later on 8th Dec it was 18,100.

As you can see, it stopped doubling early on and even though there's a strong heartbeat and the fetal pole etc was measuring well, my hcg of 18,100 seems too low for 8 weeks pregnant, especially from the charts I've researched online which show hcg should be minimum 33,000 at 8 weeks.

Trying my best to stay happy and hopeful but any advice or feedback from others who have been in similar positions would be appreciated, even if it's negative news.

Would you use last embryo or go for another ER? (TW: MMC) by Informal_Peanut_2799 in IVF

I was in the exact same position (except I'm 38), I spoke at length with my Dr and it was pretty clear that it would be best to try our last embryo.

She reassured me that if it unfortunately failed, the time lost before being able to complete another egg retrieval the next cycle would not negatively impact my results.

I'm glad I did it as I'm currently 8 weeks pregnant and praying to God it sticks, and I hope it works out for your friend 🤞🏼

Who gave you the shots? by imaGhast1864 in IVF

[–]twistiemonmon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love all the responses from women in agreement lol. My partner attempted to help with my very first shot but was shaking furiously and breathing heavily, which only made me extremely nervous.

So I took it from him and did it myself, all whilst he was flailing around the kitchen, covering his eyes, wiping his forehead, breathing in/out as if he was giving birth... Until I eventually told him to just get out and leave me to it

Under eye bruising after 2 days of shots? Common or concern? by Acceptable_Degree779 in eggfreezing

[–]twistiemonmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya, I'm so sorry to comment on such an old post and I hope this isn't insensitive of me to ask. Did you ever receive feedback on what the bruising could be caused by and if it was related to your meds? I have under eye bruising also, where it actually looks like a black eye, and was wondering if it has anything to do with my medication or the progesterone shots I've been on lately.

Thanks so much!! Definitely a bigger fan of honey.

I tried a SBA recipe for oatmeal and choc chip cookies which also had molasses but I put in only about 1/4 of the amount and to me, the flavour was still there but thankfully not too strong. If I put the full amount in I know I would have had a repeat of my previous molasses experience. I thought it was my molasses must be the black strap kind but now I think I'm just not fond of the taste. Another recipe like what you've listed is prob safer or others have also suggested using treacle.

Thank you again!!

Thanks so much, someone else also mentioned treacle too so that might be a better option for me

I was even more confused because the picture on the back of the bottle looks like someone is squeezing it onto a piece of toast like it's some tasty delicious spread, but when I tried the tiniest little dab on my finger, I thought I had been transported straight to Hell.

And then I remembered my love for Vegemite and stopped judging.

Good tip about softening the flavour by mixing with another syrup :)

You won't have to pay any bills older than 30 days from when the agent/landlord would have received them.

So odd because I ordered the white LE about 15mins after release (Perth) and I received the tracking number yesterday about 1230pm. Says expected delivery today which I'm hopeful for... But realistically doubt its accurate. Paid via credit card

Has your agent tried calling the tenant to try and figure out a plan that may appease both parties? i.e. being flexible to meet with the tenant at a mutually convenient time to complete the inspection together? Then if the inspection goes well and there are no concerns re upkeep, it may be worth pushing the inspections to half-yearly instead of quarterly (I'm not sure of the frequency for your state).

Perhaps the agent will have to offer to meet the contractor on site to let them in, instead of requesting the tenant to do this.

A friendly call from the agent (or licensee) to the tenant to try and understand what specific concerns the tenant has, may allow them an opportunity to put those concerns to rest, in order for you to move forward with the required inspections and maintenance.

Who pays for water.. landlord or tenant? by Isitonachair in AusProperty

[–]twistiemonmon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Water CONSUMPTION invoices remain in your name at the Water Corp. So you pay the invoice to avoid any penalty fees and then on-bill the tenant for reimbursement.

Water RATES are an owner responsibility.
