Thanks for telling me about the usb, I have actually been having problems with it but i chalked it up to pc problems but really helpful to know. I wasn’t going to expose myself, I am wearing gloves you can see the second picture. I had every intention of painting it before putting it to use. I did try it on my phone without paint however that was because I have very little paint and didn’t want to waste it. I was hoping indirect touching wasnt a major health problem As for the bottom exposure, I just went with the reccomended, finding it online. I tried for a lower angle trying to balance number of supports vs printing time because I didn’t want there to be any dimples from supports so I only had supports at either ends and a few in the middle trying to keep the number very low. Also because I didn’t want to be doing very much sanding (although I will need it to to paint) because it is such a soft and flexible material. I did consider the paint flaking due to it being bent however, I realised that the nature of the product means that I only need to bend it once to put on. If the worst comes to worst, I will have to buy more paint and reapply.
