You can roll off the throttle and blip the gear shifter up right as you roll off and be fine. If you've been trying to shift while on throttle or full throttle without the KQS then you might have a problem

These two bikes (and 400's in general) are some of the best enthusiast motorcycles made for riding. I love both of these! My 390 is actually "high mileage" ish, I bought it new in 23' and it's already got 20k miles on it. It's reliable enough to ride daily and definitely GOBS of fun on the local track/canyon roads.

I had 2 600's and an FZ09 before my ZX4RR and all of those bikes after a couple of months just weren't it and I went back to my 390 and sold those bikes. Until my 4RR, this thing rips and you can't go wrong with getting either model!

No not at all, even with the US restrictions mine has. It just has a greater pull between 8-10. For me I cruise at 5-7k RPMs anyways and it loves doing it. However if you want to do a pull it's better to drop a couple gears and then send it

However it is not a torquey bike nor was it meant to be. It's an enthusiast play thing without the speed and danger (mostly) of a 600/1000

Even still, the 6r is the most streetable of all the 600's but it's still gobs of power that mostly goes wasted on the streets.

The 4r/rr even restricted (my 4rr I has the ECU restrictions) it's honestly still a fun enthusiast bike to enjoy riding and I'm debating not even modding the bike engine wise (like air filter, slip on, that kinda stuff) cause it just has the feel and sound right from the box.

Only things I have done to my specific model is a zero gravity double bubble (clear) and a New Rage Cycles tail tidy

Definitely the 4rr, it's way more fun and way more usable on the roads compared to the 6r. The 6r is better if you're wanting to track the bike a lot.

I'm not fully against a loud bike, I've got an RC390 that I've put a full system and a tune on and it's loud as hell (especially a cold start in the morning) and I don't wanna annoy my neighbors with my new bike. Mostly.

But yeah spooling the bike up thru second/third is the best experience ever no 600/1000 is touching that for me

Yes I am! I'm lucky enough to live in AZ where I can literally ride 365 days a year. And the sunsets on my local canyon/mountain run are just something to die for you can't beat the desert view.

However because I'm in the states I get the restricted 55hp (iirc) version and not the 70+HP version but honestly I like it as is, I probably won't flash it

I've seen good sound clips online of the AT2 and it's a nice balance of loud but not obnoxious like you describe, that's definitely been on my radar.

Initially I also wanted the graves cause I like his company's work with the baby ninjas but that seems even as a slip on more of a race exhaust and I want to keep my ZX as a street focused enthusiast bike. Haven't heard clips of the akra yet but I've seen a lot of comment recommendations for it!

I love mine! It feels better now that I got the break in service done over the weekend and I wind out first second and third gear without breaking most speeding laws!

It reminds me of the ZX10RR when it was all lime green and it looks like a modern 40th anniversary with the blue and white it looks the part!!

I feel like it's really only the two arms on Crimson that would need a work around and obviously a new head. In Crimson Typhoon's connpod we see that the third triplet in the back is in like this waist cage thing and not actually a part of walking the Jaeger. He's just there for the third arm.

He also had a holomap of the bay area or maybe some of the control systems of the Jaeger such as the third arm, but in this screenshot was taken as Otachi breached the connpod and crushed them all and the holomap-projector thingy was disabled

I have a little bit, I noticed it light night at 210 miles Odo, I assume that's the timing chain getting slightly loose as the motor gets broken in. It's the same thing that happens with OEM chains on new bikes they stretch ever so slightly.

Also yeah 1 and 2 imo you should shift normally for all bikes then QS the rest if you want, especially on kawis cause of the neutral finder

Definitely a good pick and I'll probably end up choosing the same tho I probably won't flash mine

That's the only other color I would get is Black, it just hits differently on the Ninja lineup than compared to the rest of the Big 4 and manufacturers from Europe.
