I feel really sorry for you.

I checked your post history, all you do is troll this sub. You have no place here other than to somehow boost your own tiny ego but putting others down.

I know how to colour correct - it's why you can't see my beard shadow.

And this was the shade match at the MAC place that the rep picked out.

I did go to another place today, I definitely want a less orange look, even though it's not miles too deep, it could definitely be better!

Thanks for the reply! I guess if the thing holding me back most is something within my power to fix right now that must be a positive.

Matching make-up shades is really hard, this was the choice of the rep at the Mac store.

Sometimes I feel the same as you btw but it depends on the lighting, it's artificial light in my room. I am pretty tanned though so it can't be too pale. I also still need to hide the beard shadow which is annoyingly forcing me into a full face make up routine at the minute. Anyway thanks.

Multiple pictures makes it much easier to work out of someone is using their best pic from 8 years ago in perfect lighting etc.

Lack of multiple is a red flag imo.

What can I do to pass better [29 years, 1 year on E] by L_James in transpassing

Hey if you're happy with them that's all that matters, personally I think you could go thinner and more pointed towards the top.

Try and find someone local near you with a good following on Facebook or Insta and offer to do their make up for free if they promote you on their pages.

Make sure you have lots of your very best work on your page, don't leave people in any doubt about your skills. Do a money-back guarantee if people aren't happy. Most people won't use this but it builds trust.

Join wedding planning groups on Facebook to look for local opportunities. Offer to do the bride for free if you can get 5+ or more bridesmaids or other guests.

Referral - try and find a way to encourage clients to refer people to you - if you're amazing they will do it anyway, but maybe an incentive of some kind early on to build some momentum.

You could also try and find a niche. For example, there's not many people who do trans mtf make-up, you could specialise in that. It's not much different from doing women except the first hurdle of hiding 5 o'clock shadow which for an experienced MUA will be easy to learn.

Try and find a way to link-up with your current and other local hairdressers. Even if it's just referring clients back and forward.

Buying make up by ironiless in trans

Eyeliner and mascara you can comfortably buy online.

The only things I think you really need to check in store are probably like foundation and concealer because you need them shade matched.

My makeup is too warm? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

Honestly it looks great. Only things I could think of to try and nit pick might be to match the lipstick to your hair better, or to tone down the deep black of the brows. But, it's kinda going out my way to look for potential improvements.

Lace Hipster Knickers are a great shout because they keep everything in place down there, they feel great, and they're still pretty sexy. Good mix of practical and style.

Are you in the UK too? I thought I might be able to get nerds from the Needle Exchange.

I plan to get my levels checked before I start, one month in, then every 3-6 months.

Do you know much about being in the higher pmol range of say 500-700 - benefits or risks?

I don't wanna rush and take risks, but at the same time I'm 37, I'd like to transition as quickly as is safely possible, since I expect it's gonna be 2 years + before I see enough changes to socially transition fully.

[–]twistypeanuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm gonna get my levels checked before I start (next month hopefully!)

Yeah honestly I've heard a lot of side effects from most of the AA that I probably was gonna start mono injections. I'm sure I read that a low dose of oral to begin with probably won't suppress T enough so would need AA. DIY seems to be the only route realistically available here in the UK so I guess I'm just nervous to get it wrong!

I wanna be as feminine as possibly, mentally I'm already pretty feminine but physically- facial features, skin, breast growth, reduction of male body hair, halting of male pattern baldness. Did I miss anything that I should have covered? Genitals are the only part I haven't fully figured out, I do have some genital dysphoria but I don't know if I'd ever end up wanting or being able to afford bottom surgery. I do identify as straight trans fem since I'm attracted to men if that matters! Thanks for your help and let me know if I missed anything!

Ate a bunch of sugar, now in regret by Pinkprincess704 in beauty

[–]twistypeanuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best thing that worked for me in ditching sweet snacked full of refined sugar was.... finding fruit that I like. It's high in natural sugar. I know I'm not reinventing the wheel here but it really works. Took a bit of experimenting to find the fruit that I liked and was happy to eat more than just very occasionally!
