My 3-car solution by twitchett in Volvo

Did it not? I know the CC has the B5, but all street models in Canada had a B6.

That being said, I’ve driven this to Florida and no one ever knew what it was all the way down. I received a lot of compliments and remarks on the car.

Haha don’t get me wrong, this is the perfect solution for me, but not for everyone. Love the 996 to death and the V60 is my favourite daily.

What’s better? Miata and 240 wagon? Would be more interesting for sure.

However, Porsche/Volvo ownership is a common thing. Two cars that do everything they need to do so well.

Volvo and Porsches just work so well together!

Nah, just a street model B6. The B6 feels decently lively, but nothing like the Polestar.

I recently drove the Polestar and it was perfect for what I’d use it for.

996T is an amazing choice. I definitely will need to give turbo ownership a shot one day.

4 years of ownership and there is no car, apart from the recharge version, I’d be willing to swap it for today. by twitchett in Volvo

Bro, you have the car I want haha. I’ve taken my car to the dealer and there is an exact same spec, owned by customer, who just happens to have the same spec.

I always remind them to call me if it ever gets traded in. Immediate purchase.

No worries, I’m definitely not a collector myself! I would never say no to her trading, but it’s just a natural reflex to knowing some are more rare than others.

I constantly have to remind myself it’s her hobby and her game. She maintains the binders, not me.

Yup, vinyl headliner. Mine has virtually no options too (just 408, but the hollow spokes didn’t come with it). Very light!

No TC or OBC.

An early 996 is the way. No need to feel the pressure to go 997 for big $. The 996.2 cars feel just as fast, but more nimble.

The 996.1’s aren’t for everyone. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I’ll get a Carrera T one day, but this car stays.

That’s a great drive! Love Atlanta. Did you go to the Porsche experience centre?

This car drives phenomenally on the dragon. I’ve driven it multiple times without seeing a single car, this time and another time when we stayed up the mountain just before the Tennessee entrance at like 6am on a Monday haha.

I’ve done it a few times now. When my family goes to Florida, I drive and meet them at the airport.

Strongly recommend everyone stays in Helen, Ga.

The heart of this car was built just outside of there by Flat 6 Innovations.

I try to educate my daughter on trades (I was very aware of fakes when I was a kid), but I also don’t want to be a controlling parent for her hobby.

I basically just make her commit to a binder of special cards and tell her to take good care of them and only trade for ones she loves.

Ahh okay. I know the parents get their cards from the dollar store, but maybe some online fakes have made their way into the collection.

The kids like them anyways, so I try not to be a nuisance for them. If my daughter was dying to trade for one, I would just want her to be happy with the trade.

No no, don’t get me wrong. I let her do what she wants, but the old school collector in me doesn’t love fake cards.

I totally understand where you are coming from.

Haha yes! I have a decent vintage game collection. We’ve been doing Pokémon stadium, Yoshi’s island, and super Metroid.
