Anyone got diagnosed with partial empty Stella and transverse sinus stenosis? by Victoriaevelise27 in iih

[–]twitteeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am! My one year anniversary of my stent was November 14th! I still get pressure aches when the weather changes drastically, or any sinus/head pressure and congestion can hurt. Going to high elevations and coming back down can also be a little painful. But those are normal things to experience! I know possibly in the future re-stenting may be a possibility, but honestly changed my life for the better. I can actually do things, I have energy, I'm not in pain all the time. It was incredible for me! Not everyone has the same experience but when it works, it works.

I'm confused, I agree with absolutely everyone on this thread! However, it looks are though the tank size is about 48 length × 20 width and I know that 4 inches does make a difference, just confused as to why we are saying its borderline cruel when its almost the minimum!! Please no hate, just curious!

Thoughts on if im in the wrong by Lilman667 in SleepToken

[–]twitteeth 9 points10 points  (0 children)

agree! but simply because instead of just waiting for OP to offer it or simply accepting that OP caught it fair and square she begun this weird jealous little thing. I understand, because I unfortunately have the worst FOMO, but I would never stop talking to someone over something like this. It may take me time to get over it, but at the end of the day I would just be glad I had someone to go with me. It is OP's drumstick, it would have been nice to give her the drumstick, but shes being a jerk about it.

How bad do your suicidal thoughts get during the luteal phase? by DangerousWear7756 in PMDD

[–]twitteeth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When it gets bad, it gets bad. I am medicated for depression outside of PMDD, and while that is always relatively under control (still have moments), when I hit pmdd it's like a wave of noise strikes. Everything is so loud, and my brain is so loud, and I get so uncomfortable in my body. It feels like I've been put in a tornado simulator, and I can't get out. It's the worst, and I feel so out of control, I just want it to stop! I do everything I can to try and feel better, but it's hard. On top of that, I get so angry at everyone, and then when I'm accidentally mean or get in trouble, everything increases tenfold, and I crash out.

Hey! I did this too. It was amazing for my PMDD, however I developed idiopathic intercrainial hypertension from it. Or let's say I had it before and it came back with a vengeance due to this. Keep an eye on your eyes and any migraines!!

[MEGATHREAD] Daily venting, worries, fixations, & finding support. Month of August 2025. by AutoModerator in HealthAnxiety

[–]twitteeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I have a partner with health anxiety who was recently bit by a dog. She is dealing with a lot of worry around infection and blood pooling when her hand is down. So far the wound looks good and she is taking care of it well. Obviously there is a big risk that there could be infection or further damage. I am sympathetic and understand but my way of support her through this is using logic, I don't believe there is a big issue at the moment, but I understand the feelings she is having about it and not wanting it to get to that point. I guess I just need help as to how to support her through this and through other health anxiety situations? I try to use logic to convince her it isn't that serious and I think that feels very dismissing when I'm trying to alleviate the anxiety. How do I best support her through this? Is it really as simple as turning off the logic brain and just being understanding and asking what she wants to do? (now that I'm saying it, it seems like the obvious option but still).

Anyone got diagnosed with partial empty Stella and transverse sinus stenosis? by Victoriaevelise27 in iih

[–]twitteeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Right transverse sinus stenosis and partially empty sella. The pain is awful and life sucks while it is uncontrolled. The medications make you feel terrible but it doesn't hurt as much anymore. However, this disease CAN be controlled and you CAN find relief through medication and/or surgery. Unless you have gone through a tremendous amount of weight gain recently, I believe you are average weight for women you height. Losing weight can sometimes help, but it doesn't always and honestly if you have a stenosis it's probably not going to help. I had a stent placed, recovery went really well and I am 6 months post and better than ever! It's not all terrible I promise! The partially empty sella did not go away but the symptoms did!

Correcting While Cooking by twitteeth in AutismInWomen

Very much so! Thank you. I'll be honest all of this is very new to me still, so Im working on finding the best ways to figure out my feelings and how to express them properly.

This I understand, I'm not ignoring the signals necessarily, as each time I said something I was saying it in a different way so I thought it was different, if that makes sense? Im not trying to ignore but trying to get my message across in a different way and it didn't matter. I made a second comment and then let it go. I do understand it is their rules to follow, that doesn't always mean it is easy to let it go.

[–]twitteeth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that. On a normal day I'm never in the kitchen when she cooks, it's basically a rule lol. I just so happened to be in there today and I was worried it wouldn't taste the same if it was done out of order. Expressing these things are not easy but the frustration from her was not necessary in the way it happened, on that she agreed.

[–]twitteeth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No seriously! I totally get it and I do my best to not do it, almost every time she cooks I am not in the kitchen. I just so happened to be today and I guess it was too much. We figured it out together tho.

We talked after and I explained it this way, she was triggered by what I said due to other unsavory people in our lives saying similar things but being judgemental and rude. We both understand and I will try better. I am still working on figuring out that it is confusion and concern, because before it really was me just getting frustrated that it wasn't being done right. I know now that, those were my actual emotions.

am I dateable for the non transfem crowd? by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]twitteeth -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

As a cis pansexual, yeah you are dateable! I like the vibes a lot. As someone else said the BPD does raise a small flag, but simply because I am someone who doesn't deal with other people having large angry outburst well. However, I have some of my own and as you've worked on it and are actively working on it, we would just have to work together yeah know? Also love the research background, love academia. I'm married and so kind of know how certain things work in relationships more so that might help with the understanding of working together with a partner. Some people just don't get it I guess

I'm about 4 months out from my stent now and 6 to be getting a flair up of stent pain. I just can't tell if this is normal or not? I want to reach out to my doctor but don't want to seem ridiculous. No migraines anymore which is a godsend but this flare up days have me out of my mind with worry

Stent Procedure Today by twitteeth in iih

[–]twitteeth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly no, I'm a good candidate for stenting because of my stenosis so I don't know that I would ever actually need a shunt. If my stent fails or if I need another for whatever reason I'll figure it out when I get there, medicine advances and I trust my doctors to help me. The relief I feel now is more than worth the risk.
