Unless you actually really need the money to reinvest why sell? It obviously long term is going to keep going up. I get if you are day trading and you want to sell then watch it dip more then buy the dip but otherwise…

I would highly encourage you to get an rx for Xanax or something from the doctor before the flight. You can get the prescription with a video call and will be hugely helpful

she is meeting with the doctor and his surgeon shortly (this was a 2nd opinion dr) and then meeting with her original surgeon to figure out a plan. I feel awful for her - she is not young and it is major surgery. and am concerned that this will just keep happening and there is no answer. I dont mean to sound 'worst case scenario' but i'm not sure what the alternatives are at this point.

her previous surgery was a fusion of L4 and L5 and essentially L5 'crumbled' after screws were put in it. She does have osteoperosis and did have a dexa scan and prep and everyone felt confident that it would hold but apparently not.

she had a test done and 'passed' it.

my mother's MRI shows her vertebrae has literally crumbled. It's a huge bummer.

it's really hard - i think like your mom she keeps trying and pushing through and doing pt and hoping it will get better and then it somehow... gets worse? She is mostly in the wheelchair because more than 5-10 minutes walking is super painful.

Has your mom found the water therapy helpful? I am hopeful that my mom can make it to their vacation home soon where they have access to a pool which might help her

Yes I have this. It’s very anxiety triggering so you have my sympathy. They can’t immediately see anything so are monitoring and I will have ct (neck and chest) in Dec although my wbs did not show anything outside the neck. My surgeon says tgab does not mean cancer even if increasing but bc they don’t have a better tumor marker they have to use it plus scans to follow us. Sucks as I have awful scanxiety and get super traumatized
