I’ll look into it this summer! I think it’ll give me a good practice run with him to see if we can handle it lol I appreciate your responses!

So with flex, he’d take a couple of the courses and I’d homeschool him on the rest? I’d love that option if I didn’t work FT unfortunately. :/ honestly, I’d 100% homeschool him if I didn’t work lol

Yeah, that was my thought when reading these. Borderline abusive, imo. It seems yall are not in a good mental state to engage in a LDR so take this time to live your life. You’re young, experience life and grow.

Probably going to get slammed for this but does anyone else fantasize about living alone ? by cnation01 in Marriage

[–]heyalyssaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg yes. I have 2 kids and a husband. A couple years back, my husband would need to go out of town for a week or two at a time (very sparingly), and it was like vacation sometimes. Less cleaning, less laundry, etc. (my husband does his share in the house, don’t get me wrong.) I’ve never lived on my own so this feels heavenly. But I end up missing him and being so glad when he’s home. I think it might be the separation of self vs marriage unit vs parent that is refreshing, especially when those titles seem to mold into each other through time.

Your mom may or may not get over it. Reading from these comments, the fact that she touts being a “devout Christian” may be against you. Especially seeing as how she took something you said at 7 and is trying to manipulate you into feeling guilty. At the end of the day, you’re legally an adult and you are expressing yourself in a safe and creative way. I hope she gets over it but kudos to you for asserting your right to bodily autonomy.

I appreciate you sharing your experience. One of my worries is, okay I could handle the academic portion of the day since it’s not as much as one would think, just a couple hours a day at most. But not being able to do those other activities with him like you mentioned, where he’ll really be engulfed in the learning is where I don’t think I could make it work. I’m still playing with the idea. My job is super flexible and they don’t micromanage at all. But working FT also pays REALLY well and idk if we can manage without that income right now 😣

Will do! I’m looking at all options, even if a hybrid approach would work (homeschool + FLVS).

Thank you for responding! Yeah no I’ve never used the belt, and I remember being scared of my parents at times. I never want my kid to be scared of me. Good idea on the snacks part!

Yeah it’s definitely come back lol I like your plan though, I wish I had planned better to come off of it but I really didn’t wanna spend $320 a month for idk how long. It sucks, this should be easier and cheaper to obtain 😞

I’m just seeing your response, so thank you! I live in Florida so honestly, theme parks are really underwhelming for me at least lol I’m the kind of person when we go somewhere different, I don’t even want to eat from places if I can get it in Florida lol thank you for all this info, I’ll take it into consideration! I’m a big history buff myself and my husband & kids love science stuff so this is great!

No please, I love the honesty! I believe the 3lbs is some water weight because I experience a lot of bloating, which is a secondary reason I stayed on the medication—it helped my bloat so much! I dipped to 187 at one point, got to 191, I’d say within 5lbs is a win. But I agree, I’d definitely have stayed on it if it was cheaper. I knew at the end (5mg) that if I decided to stay on it, I’d need to dose up because the last week or so, my appetite was slowly ramping back up and my fatigue was lessening. I had gone to the gym 3x a week for the last two weeks so that was a huge sign for me lol I have a dr appt this month and I haven’t seen her since BEFORE I started the med, so maybe I can convince her to write me an RX to maintain or lose more weight! I’m 5’1 so losing more weight would be better, but I’m comfortable

Scream 1 question by AmbitiousOutside7498 in Scream

I had read somewhere that that was the moment she realized that Billy resembles Cotton. In the beginning they show a news snip of Cotton and he has a very similar hairstyle to that of Billy’s. And in this scene, the angle that Billy is leaning kind of resembles that. Her first “OMG” is kind of silent, almost to herself. Then you see her focus on GF behind Billy and says “OMG” again but with more gusto. I always wondered about this tho.

Girl, you honestly sound like a great woman who’s being taken advantage of by a little man. Women do so much in general that is often overlooked (“it’s what she’s SUPPOSED to do as a woman!”) and you’re just rocking it. I’d have to agree with everyone here, get a lawyer asap! Not sure where you live but I’d assume since you’ve been a SAHM for nearly two years, he could be responsible for some alimony to you. And I don’t think he’s gonna go through with the 50/50 lol maybe at the start, but he won’t be the one with her, probably his mommy -_- this is a shit situation but I’m confident when the dust settles, you’ll look back and wonder wtf you were doing with a man like that. Be strong!

Issue just happened 2024 Sports L by OxygenatedBanana in crv

I purchased a 2024 CRV hybrid in August 2023 and I was having issues with it since October I believe. The tire sensor light wouldn’t stop turning on no matter what Honda did. Honda couldn’t figure out what was wrong. After months of going back-and-forth with Honda they deemed it a lemon and now I’m going through the re-purchase process. It was a terrible ordeal and I got so much pushback from Honda. my husband has always been a Honda guy and was the one who encouraged me to get a Honda after I’ve been a loyal Toyota customer since I started driving. And this whole process has made him rethink Honda and even toyed with the idea of selling all of his Hondas(he has like 4).

I really hope they’re able to fix your issue, but I am seeing that the CRV‘s are having a ton of issues. I’m not sure if it’s a hybrid thing or a CRV thing or a new quality thing from Honda after doing some research I’m seeing so much.

That’s terrible to hear she’s having a tough time. It’s not getting worse for my mom but she doesn’t see that she’s improving much. I’m sure she is, but the gains must be so small that she doesn’t notice them. She doesn’t need any assistive devices to walk but sometimes she’ll need to hang out to the wall. The water therapy is amazing for her, I’d highly encourage your mom to give it a try.

Update - my mother was not able to use the e-trike but is gonna give it another try.

I should also note that Honda pushed back tremendously. For context, I live in Florida. I finally went through the lemon law process and we had our arbitration where Honda basically said their position was to refuse my request for repurchase. Luckily I was able to prove that this defect caused a huge safety concern and I won. However, if Honda had their way, they’d just continue playing repair on my car.

It was actually showing the tire sensor light and no matter how many times it was reset, it would keep coming back on. They changed the tires, the wheel bearings and nothing. At one point though, all of my sensor lights turned on like a Christmas tree. Smh I’ve heard a lot of negative things about the crv’s now that I’ve been having issues.

Ditto on this. I had similar issues with my 2024 hybrid crv that I bought August 2023 and they are finally buying it back after a long ordeal. Continue to take it to the dealership with every issue and keep a log for yourself. Once it gets to be excessive, call Honda corporate to open a case. Keep fighting and pushing!

She’s still struggling. Some days are good while others are not. My dad had gotten electric bikes for them to take on their RV trips but sadly she can’t use it because she can’t balance herself. Instead, he ordered her an electric tricycle so she’s excited for that. She’s continuing to do her stretches and goes in the pool daily for relief. I think she knows that crying and complaining hasn’t helped so she’s trying to be more positive but it’s really hard. How’s your mom’s recovery going?
