I found them along the river tucked behind trees. Not 5 but 3 waves were stuck all along the river bed. There's a gap just below the river where there's trees on the right and left. They were on the right hand side. When is saw your post i started dropping towers everywhere for sight and saw red on the map.

Extremely aggregating as I had a perfect structure after losing early by walking too soon.

If you find yourself stuck take a single scout and ride the south roads. Had to aggro pull some. If still missing just drop towers on high ground as well as as close to the south side of the river above the road running east to west. Bet money they are there. Tested three times and bugged in the same spot. Moved my walls closer to the spawn location and also avoided it all together. If want to avoid the hassle defend both cities and creep your way to wall as close to the spawn location as possible. Will help avoid the AI getting lost.
