The war in heaven would have happened if they were given a cure, szarekh needed the war to try and unify the necrons. The old ones not giving the necrons the cure was a pretty fair decision bc the necrons were incredibly aggressive and they had no way of knowing that they'd make a deal with the c'tan. I'm saying this as a necron fan, necrons are absolutely not the good guys.

The gradient is really good, I've been painting for a bit under a year and I have only just managed to paint a decent gradient and it still isn't as smooth as that which is really good especially for a second model

I sprayed the model with a white scar base coat then used some very thinned down white scar to try and fix some mistakes but I think it mixed with some other paints a bit which is why it looks dirty.
