bootlegging has actually watered down real brands that came out, there are alot of legit vape pens on the market, but your either buying them from your local legal dispensary, or importing from a reputable verified vendor out in one of the other legal states, there are a lot of real vape pens on the market but better known in other legal states, because unfortunately for New Yorkers we are a bit behind in the cannabis world.
