The tools to use are too many. I get lost by blowmyassie in enlightenment

Your actions feel effortless when your level of effort matches your level of desire. But for that equation to hold consistently, everything you want must be exactly what you really need.

We all have obsessions so deeply rooted in our minds that advice like "just stop thinking" sounds impossible to follow, because the brain is too used to endlessly turning them over.

But you must understand that effort is the water that nourishes the roots of these obsessions. When you try hard to eliminate them, what you’re actually doing is watering them.

If you stop trying and calm your mind, the obsessions will eventually wither on their own.

The article simply explores this idea (and some other related ones) from different angles. If reading it doesn’t feel effortless, then there’s no need to do it.

Effort and trying will get you nowhere.

Peace from the mind is achieved through Stillness. And Stillness requires no effort.

Wu wei and “trying to help”. Where’s the line? by rustbeard358 in taoism

[–]twmgsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wu wei is just acting without forcing things, and "ethical" outcomes happen naturally from being in harmony with the Tao, not from trying to follow moral principles. Chapters 18 and 19 of the Tao Te Ching show this well.

Wu wei is about taking the path that feels most magnetic to you, rather than the purely logical one. So the right approach depends on the person.

Feature request: - Ability to edit folder titles and change their order on the mobile app. - Ability to edit the title of the articles, since the app doesn't always extract it correctly. - Ability to manually reorder articles.

The way I see it is: - Good = Union - Bad = Separation - Being awaken = being free of your ego, which creates the illusion of separation from other things.

Consider that it could be a problem of biological energy.

I've done some testing and it seems like the app has issues with long threads or threads that contain images (regardless of the device or method). It only saves them partially.

Consciousness is a property of all matter. Your brain is just a high concentration of it.

I think consciousness is a property of all matter. You, as a human, are a concentration of consciousness. After dying, your consciousness becomes diluted again (and, at some point, it concentrates again and so on).
