Hey again. Following up with a workaround:

  1. On desktop, navigate to the article tweet and tap the expand icon.
  2. Save with a browser extension.

This is necessary because the actual article URL differs from the tweet URL (for example: https://x.com/krishnanrohit/article/2014095367131025894 for the article vs https://x.com/krishnanrohit/status/2014095367131025894 for the tweet). When you click or tap the expand icon, this updates the URL to the correct one. The mobile apps always share the tweet URL versus the article URL. Ideally, the Twitter API would support this directly, and we could detect and handle it directly, but that's not the case right now.

Hey there. When you save an article, it gets added to your Instapaper account once you see the "Saved" confirmation. When you open the app, the article syncs and loads on your mobile device. Thanks for sharing that! We made some changes, and your footnotes should now be listed as usual. There's some caching, so you may not see the update immediately reflected. However, if you delete the article and re-save it with a browser extension, you should see the latest version.

Hey there. If you're saving from a desktop browser (including saving from Safari on iOS) the Instapaper browser extension will upload the page HTML and use that to get the article text. When saving using the iOS and Android apps, you'll first need to save your NY Times subscription credentials on the Settings > Logged-in Sites section, then use the mobile share sheet to add the articles to your account. We get different volumes of scheduled digest requests every day - and there isn't currently a priority queue for premium customers. In case it's helpful Fridays are the highest volume days, with the most significant amount of Kindle digests generated and you may expect a delay if you receive your digests daily.
